Not made many friends in Halifax today

Used to think certain away fans of ours were hard done by.

This is becoming a weekly thing now. Gives the club a bad name.

As if the capitulation on the pitch wasn't enough, the small minority of idiots have to compound it, and make the whole experience doubly embarrassing.

The away defeats at Grimsby and FGR, albeit heavy, were not totally unexpected as we were playing better teams - or at least teams perceived to be better; moreover, at FGR we were handicapped by Livesey's unjust early red card. Then at Cheltenham, we were beaten by a - just - slightly stronger side, although a point each would have been a fairer result.

But Halifax? Apart from the first 15 minutes when Halifax seemed to win every challenge, and the last ten when Barrow capitulated, we were the better side and should really have blown our hosts out of the water. That is what is hard to take. We were in command for three quarters of the match, yet suffered a 3-1 defeat to a poor side. And that was after we should have taken some confidence from the home victory, albeit a not particularly convincing one, over relegation fodder Southport.

As at Cheltenham, we took the lead but could neither increase it nor defend it. Up front, Walker and Cook are both putting in a good shift, with the latter in particular knocking the goals in, and it must be frustrating for them to see their hard work undone by poor defending behind them. And we really do need a strong, creative midfielder to control the middle of the park.

Dixon seems to be gaining in confidence as the season progresses; not easy when we are suffering heavy away defeats on a regular basis. And we really do need Fortress Holker Street, not a sandcastle at Biggar Bank as the tide comes in.

We haven't got quality or strength in depth; we haven't even got that when all our first choices are fully fit. We need to get things back on track as a matter of urgency.

Its like he thinks its a rule that you have to use your subs each game, the opposite of Bayliss who waited too long to change things.

To be fair, I think Jason got a knock early in the second half and I think he was limping when he went off. As for the other sub, Van den Broek was ineffective so you can hardly complain about that. As far as I could see, it didn't change the shape at all.

When did it go off? I was in the ground about 2 mins before kick off and didn't hear owt - was it before then?

Paul Murray, who's only managerial experience is with Hartlepool where he lasted about 6 months, almost relegating them and getting knocked out by Blyth in the FA Cup? Not for me.

What edmo says is right re game but its deeds required. 3 games till 10 games but that halifax side were terrible. We simply must manage a game better than that and our expierenced players need to step up. Youve got to question whether the transition to full time training has been properly managed too.

There were 265 Barrow fans there yesterday a few of which were idiots and aren't part of the 100 or so that go away regularly and its these few idiots that are giving the club a bad name, not the regular fans. In the pubs in Halifax before the game both sets of fans got on fine from what I saw.
On the point about what happened at Forest Green I contacted them about the issue we had there but they never even had the courtesy to reply - have to wonder why?
It certainly isn't like Moonwatcher, a former member of this forum and themaster are implying.

We kept hearing how good the defence was last season.
Consistently gave leads away remember the Hyde match where are they now?
Edmo seems to have no connection and bringing another ex Carlisle coach in aka Paul Murray in has really helped.
I would hate it if Cooky got injured who would score the goals.
He still has credit cards in the bank but its fast running out
