It does. I just think it's a bit odd. Maybe a good thing though. Almost too good if he proves his talents. Can't help but think that link article suggests a stepping stone but if it helps I welcome this. Maybe this is a sensible move, something we are not used to so it just made me think.
As said previously, modelling a club like Burton would be great.

Bit odd he would leave Burton if he was doing such a good job.
Are you intimating that there more to it than meets the eye?
If so good cos we haven't had a conspiracy theory for about two hours.
Wg. You know I'm a placid man who would never suggest conspiracy. But if I had to I would say the lack of tannoy in the ground is to make us download the new bafclistentoitonyourphone app so the communication giant in charge can check on the mole!!!

Surely if this is a long term apppintment and the club back MM long term then they would have disclosed the length of contract. Strange appointment/announcement
I did think that when I posted it was odd he left Burton but as you know we are not savvy to this info and probably won't be. Only thing that concerns me in the medium term is if he proves to be a success at this level in his role it would be easy to lose him and we're back to square one. It's almost like a sandstorm that needs to settle at this moment in time, until then, whenever it may be I think questions will be asked. I listened to talk sport earlier and they were on about how Birmingham wouldn't kick in with coterill for a few games, well if he lost 5 while getting things to kick in he may get the boot. Back to square one. Happens a lot and I hope like Birminghams result last night we get a good start with the new duo.

Bloody hell! So if he’s successful he might leave us and if he’s shit for the 1st 5 games then he might get the sack but might come good after this time? Just go with what we know, that he’s got enough coaching experience to do the job, been at a much bigger club successfully and let’s wait and see. I’d be looking at seeing fitness levels improve as a measure of success and that will take a couple of months at least

How long do you reckon before he resigns?

I only referred to the conversation I heard on the radio regarding 5 games. But if they both prove unable to get results in 5 games then it is a time period that has proven fatal for many new managers. That was all I was saying. Sorry if that translated into something different for you

Impossible to know whether this appointment will be a success or not. Stop looking for all the possible problems (I call it BBC News syndrome). Let's wait and see how it works out.

I honestly cant see why people have to know everything, Do you expect to know everything that is happening where you work?
It's a game of football---just go and watch it.

Surely it's natural to assess any decision and look for pros and cons? Call it what you want Jim but everyone's entitled to ask questions.

This forum would be pretty boring if we didn't discuss things.

Indeed. I guess i just question most things, not to be obstructive but just because I want to know a bit more than I read.
