How desperate do we need that 2nd goal... you tell every chance we missed the heads were dropping... had enough in the 1st half to be comfortably ahead by the look of it.
Every bad bounce going against, every moment of indecision is costing us a goal... what I wouldn't give for Danny Livesey....

The chasm in our defence just hasn't been addressed. We took a punt on a young lad in Jimmy Dunne and he played out of his skin for us, think he would of done even better with Livesey to help with his tutelage.......Let's out heavy sigh!!!!!! :(

All the club's better than average players from last season - Livesey, Anderton, Williams, Bennett, Harrison have been allowed to leave without being replaced. From the moment Livesey was allowed to leave I could see the writing was on the wall as any club with ambition would have moved heaven and earth to keep a player of his calibre who was at an age where he wouldn't be attractive to a league team. I placed a bet on Barrow to be in the bottom 4 at 10/1 very early in the season in the faint hope that my atrocious luck in betting might save us but it's looking more and more unlikely to help! The owner is keeping the club running but it's been obvious to anybody with half a brain for a very long time that he just hasn't the resources to fund a club at this level any longer.
Well said!

The money raised from the sale of the payers you mention should have been used to purchase players of similar ability.
The fact that our owner chose not to replace them with players of similar quality didn't bode well at the start of the season -
and even less so now!

As you suggest in your post - the club has no ambition - or to be more precise, Mr.Casson hasn't!

Criminal defending, especially from the full backs. Never a sending off...

Never a yellow card. Even a free kick was debatable.

Watching those highlights and i just do not know what has happened to Moussa Diarra. He never won a ball in these highlights, his positioning was all over the place and players leave him rooted to the spot. He is one of our most senior players and he really should be should be leading that back line. Dont want to pick him out as defensively it was a poor performance, but Mousa looking well below his best there.

It looked like what used to be called a fair shoulder barge.

I don't think that the referee realised when he produced the yellow card that he'd already booked Jones ... until he opened his book and saw his name already there.

Is there any provision to appeal against a yellow card, as that looked like a shocking error?

I think that Moussa has been a stalwart reliable player, but doesn't seem to have been as good since he returned from injury.

Moussa isn't a natural leader and is currently having to adopt that role with kids around him. He is pulled all over the place to fill gaps and eventually makes mistakes. There is no Danny Livesey to watch his back. Jones throws great balls into the box but there is no Ritchie Bennett to get on the end of them. Jordan White certainly cant. We concede possession in midfield too easily and there is no Andy Bond there to put his foot in and retrieve the situation. Neither Bartram nor Makoma have what it takes to secure the right back position. And Grant Holt apart from being past it cant play any positive supporting attacking role and ends up playing too deep. Luke James is a great little player and will get you a goal but not two because he's spotted by opoosition defences.

All these things were evident in the Orient game. Assuming that Pennock has been forced to work with a budget, then they are not problems of his making. Those hes brought in whether permie or on loan are our better players - but they are not enough.
