Let us be the professional club. This has happened and there's nothing we can do now. It is up to the FA to sort this out and take any action they deem necessary. Meanwhile, we have a game next saturday which is massive for our club financially.
Move on and prepare for this fixture. Let's show these people we are not some tin pot club from the North West.

Personally I’ll say to the club keep my £9 for the ticket I purchased online.

Does anyone know if there is anything I could sponsor not to dear that would help club after today they will have lost a fortune. I can't find anything at all.
Paul Hornby said it's cost the club in excess of £3,000. Check your piggy bank.

It's really disappointing to read the comments made on the Dover forum. The fans have been misled by a statement which seems to have no validity to its claims, in regards to abusive language made by club officials.

This is what happens when you’re dealing with the French.

We are sponsored by a firm of solicitors. They won't like what's being said by Dover one bit. I expect them to be all over what they have said in their statement.

If fans want to help maybe they can let the club keep the £9 admission fee like already suggested.
Also club shop now fully stocked. Buy a few items and the club gain and you have something to wear.
Maybe a few get together and sponsor the match ball?

Exactly, we need to support the club, both on and off the pitch

Does anyone honestly think the League will award us the 3 points?
Can't see it happening
They might get a fine and at worst a fine+pts deducted ... But they won't give us the win as that's not fair on other teams. For example imaine if we got in to the playoffs by 2 points and 3 of those were effectively given to us.
What's annoying is that we have been effectively 'fined' as well - loss of revenue and interest could have cost us tens of thousands. There will never be a way to put a figure on this.
Correct it won’t happen

Shambolic and shameful by Dover in equal measures today.
Even putting aside the ridiculous set off time for a game so far away, they were in Crewe train station having got off the train before 1.15pm. Thats about 2 hours by road to Barrow, could have jumped in 8 seater taxis, arranged a coach or stayed on the train and got the connection in Preston and been here by 4pm. A delay yes, but one which would have seen the game go ahead. They made absolutely no attempts to rework plans, come up with a contingency or make any attempt to get to the game. They have key players out, have just had a big defeat last time out and found a sad but perfect excuse to avoid the game today. Both sets of fans deserve much much better.
Then to proceed down the route they've done, virtue signalling and deflecting on the poor tragedy that had happened earlier, playing the victim and accusing Barrow as to their conduct is shameful and embarrassing for them. A person very sadly died, but to use that as a shield to completely refuse to fulfil the fixture or answer questions about their own ineptitude is an insult to the poor soul who lost their life.
As for them slagging us off on their forum, we may be northern monkeys but at least we can operate booking.com, and know what a [SwearFilter] taxi is. God knows how they'll cope when Brexit turns their town into a car park full of lorrys for months.

That statement from Dover is incredible, makes our club look right [SwearFilter]
Out of interest what was the Dover fans who actually made it to Barrow’s reaction to their clubs travel plans? And if anyone knows that statement

Agree with ste and Richard
They did not want any kind of late kick off and at the first opportunity to do so they turned around and went home.. Disrespectful.. Put in much better words than I can muster by ste and Richard

Dover afc a disgrace to their fans that travelled and the many here who had bought tickets etc to attend.
Yes they had delay but to set off at that time shows disregard and intent on not arriving.
To get to Preston and if it’s right to turn back after we offered to help is just not cricket in anyone’s terms.
Will the league step in I doubt it but they should look at it from the wider view.
