Beliefs are important and, in general, to be respected but I am curious about this, Russell.

The Chairman has written that our playing budget is comfortably in the top ten of League Two clubs and that he bases this on a document circulated to clubs by the EFL.

On what is your disbelief based?

My disbelief is based on the relatively low income we generate as a club and the fact that we have a board of directors who are not super rich or even rich at the level of Paul Casson. In addition, it is unsafe to ever believe anything that ever comes out from a football club as the public is generally told what the club would like you to believe. We were told that Rooney left because he didn't want to play in the EFL and that Quigley left to be nearer home and I certainly don't believe that they left for anything else but higher salaries.

Indeed and we were told that is exactly why he didn't want to play in the EFL. All tosh in any case as the reason was nothing more than money as it is 99.9% of the time with all footballers since the maximum wage was removed.

Fair play to the few that shelled out £25 to sit in that "stand" in the corner, especially with the weather. Feeling returned to my hands about an hour later! The worst league ground I've been to in a long time but The Hope in Carshalton recommended to us by a London Barrovian was superb.

The Hope is is like seeing a mirage but actually getting there and having your thirst fulfilled with pure nectar.
Hoping the Briarbank Brewing Co in Ipswich can get close to it. The Brewery Tap was always good but sadly closed down.

I noticed they were part of the same organisation. Liked The Thomas Wolsey on my last visit amazing old building. That will be one of my first ports of call Friday evening.

Good choice. The Wolsey has recently been refurbed and is within spitting distance of Portman Road. You might also think about Mannings in the town square. As mentioned previously The Curve on Civic Drive is also popular if a bit chavvy.

We can’t buy a goal at the minute. Strikers go through barren patches at a far greater level than ours. The goals have dried up from midfield at the minute and those valuable goals somewhat masked our deficiencies for a while. But saying that I’m still not at a level where we write off this team but questions do need to be asked of the commitment of those that are motivating at the helm.
Are we getting the most out of those on the park and what exactly are we doing in our build up to games on the training ground??
Knuckle down and crack on or have the gonads to say enough is enough! Barrow AFC is not a holiday home and it’s time to stand strong and poke your heads above the parapet.
Sorry but there are clubs within our remit that do make it work. Without excuses it’s up to us as a team, a town a football club to overcome those obstacles and prove ourselves worthy as an EFL club. Stop feeling sorry for ourselves dust ourselves down and fight on!
We have come so far together, let’s not give up our fight, for sure the back biting doesn’t help at times. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism but sometimes this forum goes well beyond that. Unity is Strength and always will be
