Judging from comments on here, people would expect players to be not bothered at all.

Clearly not the case.

May actually be a much crazier suggestion than it sounds, now that we have a replacement managerial team in place, including one of the two who fought the team through to safety last season.

The obvious difference is that this season's new manager and assistant haven't the continuity of knowledge that Rob Kelly had and as long a period to effect changes.

Indeed, we weren't good for the full first half of the season but started well enough in a comfortable top half position (perhaps until the attitude of our previous manager rubbed off on the team?)

So it's all good then 🤔!

Want to be optimistic but let’s face it Oldham and Stevenage have more goals in them than us. Even though Oldham lost yesterday both of them managed 2 goals a piece. Last time we scored more than one was 17 games ago! That is quite unbelievable by anyones standards.
Can’t see us matching either of their results now especially with Stevenage having a much better run in on paper.

But to quote the old saying 'the game is played on grass - not paper!' ;)

Just watched the Banks interview. He is clearly very upset about the whole team performance and definetly hurting like we all are.He also constrained by poss getting that dreaded yellow card to put him out of vital games which is mainly his fault. He is saying whole team cant blame bad luck etc they have all been below par .Rather than a rallying cry I would rather see a lot of quiet steely determination to play at 100 per cent of their capabilities for 90 mins every game and if that is not enough we all pay the price and have to reset.Security of the club whatever level is paramount.

Stevenage having Scunthorpe yet to play is their biggest advantage; it almost guarantees them at the very least another point (but realistically 3) which you certainly can’t guarantee with ourselves, or probably Oldham (albeit their last game looks very winnable)

Oh [SwearFilter] right that Carlisle will have an 'Off Day' when they play Stevenage-There is nothing more certain.
I've always said that Carlisle didn't want little old Barrow in this league, stepping on their toes,so to speak.

by behind the goals
Carlisle had an Off Day in our game at Carlisle and at home but we also had an Off Day in both games.

Some Carlisle supporters might want to see Barrow relegated, but to suggest that the club itself would want Barrow relegated is just daft. A home fixture against Barrow probably puts another 2,500 on their gate, compared to the fixture against Stevenage. That's £50,000 in gate receipts or thereabouts.
