Quote from Ian Evatt.
“The community and town is also very important to me."
Now where have I heard that before?
Maybe he meant the Townhouse.

Full of the proverbial in my mind.
Anyway glad it’s all over and we can move on.
Now come on Quigs get banging them in and price yourself out of their price range in two years time!

I hope that with the embargo of not being able to sign players, doesn’t mean that we negotiated the fee. (If we ended up getting one?!)

They can't nab any of our players for two years.
Unless any have signed extended contracts, they nab any of them except Quigley for free next season and, if they have enough money they could buy Quigley next season. That's if the embargo ends in summer 2021 which is what I read.

We couldn’t have signed any of your in contract players anyway as we are under embargo. Sounds like two clubs have been very professional and your board seem very complimentary about how we handled discussions. Sounds like both clubs on good terms. Which is good. Everyone can move on. You’ve got cash to splash, be ambitious. Good luck.

The embargo doesn't apply to managers and you can be sure we will have got a fee.

Sure we’ll find out over the coming days if we got most of the fee

The press release from Barrow says the embargo is 2 years.

Aye but they can still sign our players that will be out of contract next summer.

Yes. Apolgies. I hadn't read the press release. Another good move by the board although it doesn't help if the players on 1 year contracts won't extend after next season.

2 year embargo... we are in safe hands.
Impressed with Paul Hornby's statement as ever. I've learned over the past few weeks that he is as smart if not smarter than Ian Evatt. As for IE well from what I'm hearing BWFC may already be beginning to realise how sharp a tool he really is. Fun and games at the Macron are likely to be inevitable. Looking forward to the fallout. Will not like the title "Head Coach".

I think we have to leave it up to the new manager to decide if those on 1 year contracts figure in his plans after that.
If they do we have to offer a better deal than competing clubs.

Looking at the photo of IE with the BW scarf, I have to say he does not exactly look to happy with the new situation.
