Having an agent doesn't necessarily mean he's going to cost £50k pa and need a budget of £1m. I think folk need to calm down a bit re: the 'a' word. He could just be there to deal with legals on his contract or somesuch.

The board need to think long and hard before appointing our next manager not on a whim, the right candidate for the right reasons. Whoever is finally the chosen one needs the club behind them 100% and that includes us so called supporters 642 there tonight a bloody joke. Do we really want our football team to survive at any level of football!!!

To be honest, after the standard of football that's been dished up this season so far ( except 1st half of last night ), then you're not gonna get any increase on the gate until we start winning. That, I'm afraid to say is the blunt truth.

Judging by last nights very poor attendance & considering the pleasant evening plus no football on TV it would appear all those saying they won't go till Bayliss goes still aren't satisfied.

I know where you're coming but it's a sad fact of life that the Bayliss saga went on far too long and people get 'out of the habit' of going to matches. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Bayliss should have been let go when the chance was there at the end of last season, but for whatever reason the BOD decided to give him another chance.

I also think the whole Gainsborough saga was too much for some people and once again the board's failure to take decisive action at the time may have turned some people off the club.

Hopefully an inspired appointment of a new manager may turn things around. Based on the first half last night, you won't want for better football. If that sort of performance continues, word will get round, and the crowds will be back.

Let's hope so.

I just think there is no vision we lost the redevelopment bid and everything has gone backwards since.

Finally stopping going was a big decision for me and when I made it, I thought it would be difficult to handle. The first game was weird but after that, I've slowly realised that I'm not actually missing it much at all and also made me realise just how bloody expensive it is to take Dawn and two boys there a couple of times per month.

It's also given me time to reflect and consider what it is that would re-ignite me passion. I've now figured that out and am waiting to see who is appointed.

I want to see the club go in a particular direction, I doubt it will do that, so I expect that I'll continue to stay away. This won't be because I'm 'protesting' against anything. It will just be because I've ran my course with the club.

If someone like me can find himself in this position, I think it could be quite a long time before average gates are approaching the 800+ mark again.

Perhaps people are staying away because of certain members of the board?

North Ferriby are 4th in the league and getting by just fine on crowds below 300!

Virtually same with Brackley ,so this is what we are up against as there are a few more clubs in this league with similar "help"

might being daft here but how will we not have a club to follow as we are still one of the top 5 best supported clubs in this league it was expected the crowds would be down and they will stay that way until we start winning an moving up the table i thought the board did budget for around average of 700 people lose intrest and wont come back over night

And, in fact, average crowds of over 600 would almost certainly put Barrow in the top 5 in the league.
