As long as there are no half time headbutting antics I'm confident enough points will be gained to ensure EFL safety

Re: Barrow v Carlisle
That performance was not of a team knowing it was going to or likely to get relegated. The response to going a goal down after two minutes was excellent.

Yet again some of our fans displaying the patience of someone with no patience. I really wish they would pipe down at least until the game is finished. I despair sometimes until going on other sites and seeing it is similar there and realise there are people with no patience on all club sites. That last bit was polite for knobheads.

Never was this bad until a promotion happened and a few characters decided their opinions matterMikeRenney wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 12:37 am Yet again some of our fans displaying the patience of someone with no patience. Re: Barrow v Carlisle
There has always been a logical hierarchy covering our 'local' teams and naturally Carlisle being the only EFL team in the county until this season enjoyed a higher profile in general terms.
And reluctant as I am to criticise RC, their logic short-circuited yesterday as we had to listen to both the Grand National then Pep Guardiola following the big 'Cumbrian Derby' they had spent all week bigging up.
The National and Pep's lament were extensively covered on other BBC platforms if anyone was interested enough to seek them out. Poor show there in my opinion.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
Re: Barrow v Carlisle
I think Radio Cumbria have 'always' been quite fair and balanced towards Barrow. I thought yesterdays coverage was excellent and as far as covering the Grand National well, I don't think it got in the way too much of an hour pretty much dedicated to football.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 8:18 amThere has always been a logical hierarchy covering our 'local' teams and naturally Carlisle being the only EFL team in the county until this season enjoyed a higher profile in general terms.

Re: Barrow v Carlisle
This from the Carlisle paper about the Eardley incident and the ref not giving him a 2nd yellow;-
Pre-season rule changes may force Carlisle to accept he got that one right (a foul amid a "promising attack" which sees advantage played no longer requires a yellow card), even if the law is still an ass. Kelly, aware of how close Eardley was skirting dismissal, hooked the defender at the break.

Lovely stuff. You can still see them crying about it on Twitter though.
Re: Barrow v Carlisle
Plus the fact Tanner flattened James just prior to the incident and took no action against him may also have played a partchipmunx wrote: ↑Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:02 pm This from the Carlisle paper about the Eardley incident and the ref not giving him a 2nd yellow;-

That's down to how the team perform mate. Even you and your bobble hat can't make them sound great if they are'nt. Let's hope you don't have to work too hard from now on.
