Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
126 days and no clean sheet. Absolutely disgusting.
We’re sat on 147 days without a home win too. AWFUL!

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
The gamble on Gallagher has backfired massively, he hasn’t stopped the rot, not even a glimpse of having what it takes to get out this mess. Last week Hornby interview “we don’t want to upset the dynamic of the team too much in January, lesson has been leaned from summer” etc etc, so he starts tonight with 5 players brought in Jan, 4 of whom are loan players,… thrown in to a relegation battle.
Im angry tonight, we needed something, anything, a stuffy point, but nothing.
We are not good enough in any area of the park and we cant even scrap for a lousy point.
If he goes tonight i wouldn't be surprised. The wrong appointment for what we need right now.

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
What it's the boards fault, they oversaw summer recruitment, they appointed Gallagher then let him run with the January transfer window, which was absolutely crap but in his interview Hornby was quite happy with and they must be ok with this formation so no I don't feel sorry especially if we get relegated through their own incompetence!FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:53 pm I’m usually optimistic and used to think we’d comfortably avoid the drop but sadly not anymore. 24 points from 29 games is atrocious. How we’re not in the bottom two with that points return is a mystery. If we do go down we can’t say we didn’t deserve too. I genuinely feel for the board. God knows what they must be thinking after all of their investment, especially during January.
Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
Let's not beat around the bush. We have much to be grateful for what the board do, but their footballing decisions are really poor. They chose this manager, and they have chosen plenty of other managers that have failed miserably. Pains me to say but I can't say I feel sorry for them on this matter. It is the folk who travel up and down the country watching this tripe who I feel sorry for.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:53 pm I’m usually optimistic and used to think we’d comfortably avoid the drop but sadly not anymore. 24 points from 29 games is atrocious. Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
Gallagher was the cheap option. PH talked about without naming Steve Evans and Jon Brady. Im not sure they were really ever in the frame but it keeps fans happy to think they were considered I suppose. Same with Stockton on deadline day. We had already signed Malcolm and with Walker now fit and Gordon coming back did we really have the room. But again it pacifies some to think were linked with him even on deadline day.blue nige wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:59 pmWhat it's the boards fault, they oversaw summer recruitment, they appointed Gallagher then let him run with the January transfer window, which was absolutely crap but in his interview Hornby was quite happy with and they must be ok with this formation so no I don't feel sorry especially if we get relegated through their own incompetence!FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 9:53 pm I’m usually optimistic and used to think we’d comfortably avoid the drop but sadly not anymore. 24 points from 29 games is atrocious. Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
Time and time again we concede the same stupid goals we never learn, nobody willing to put their body on the line and defend for their lives for the club, we lack the desire to go and win the ball in or own box. Previous years when we’ve stayed up our teams worked their absolute nuts off and put their bodies on the line unlike this lot, we had leaders and a togetherness! Fundamentally the decisions made in the summer have put us in this position now, anyone with a set of eyes could see how unbalanced we were as a squad none of this has been addressed throughout the season! Only looking like one thing at the moment unfortunately and that's back down to the national league

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
If Gallagher is sacked we leave a void that is not very attractive for any manager. I see a rinse and repeat option or an experienced manager who charges so much for the job it would hurt us financially. Stalemate.
We are a position in the season where something drastically has to change or we are leaving the league.
Pains me to write this as I’m normally half full, but today was very disappointing.

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
We needed a tough experienced Coach and battlers in the window, Think Tom White x 5. We got loanees (and i’m not suggesting they are not gifted players but they have landed into a L2 relegation battle in a team low on confidence and struggling on the pitch. The team dynamic is totally out of sorts. It’s like an experiment every game.

Get Jason Taylor back & not as manager as a player.
Him & Foley would show more passion than this lot.

I don’t think Gallagher will survive this. I really don't. There’s too much at stake here. It hasn't worked out.

Re: Shrewsbury v Barrow
Not disagreeing but what’s the alternative Jonty … surely the board doesn’t have another lamb to for the slaughter already?
