I suppose it's everyones mess, it's most certainly OUR mess now though.

Whose to say that piece of shit belongs to the stewards & that was left by the previous groundsman but that bit was a good idea at the time but never got finished.
There's signs, a tractor, bits of wood, fencing, an old bench, a chiller, some broken plastic goal post's....all sorts of stuff, do we just leave it there because "it's their's" or do we do something about it?

Very nice offer off Mike Wilson who has managed to "persuade" his mate to do any small plastering jobs & Mike will pay for materials - great gesture Mike, thanks.

Please read my post for volunteers this Sunday (a page back) as we seem to be struggling a little for numbers this week. It is important that we get people to help as we can't just rely on the same people everytime we're down there. Six of us would not get finished what we have planned in three hours, a dozen would.
There's jobs for anyone, young, old, male, female, hungover or fresh as a daisy

I should be ok for Sunday mi old spirit...will we have access to jobs in the crossbar and bdf shop or is it just a tidy up

I will try and get down but after 3 1/2 months away in Afghan without alcohol i may be abit hung-over on Sunday.

Will be there Sunday morn for afew hours and without blowing smoke up my own arse I love graft so get there get it done get home :flag: what time from ?

I'll be e-mailing John M about access to the corridor so we can fix the broken pane of glass.

If the weather is fine, one of the jobs will be putting the handrail up on the BDF shop's steps.

In answer to the last part of your question - it all depends on how many turn up, could do with people posting on here if available.

Really enjoy following this thread. Small task getting done every week, and people doing what they can to help out.

You guys are really doing a great job in organising this. Shows the amount of determination around this club.

Determination seem's to be waning this week, not too many volunteers. I've said it before - we can't rely on the same people week after week, we've probably had thirty different people helping out over the last couple of months but how many read this topic? I roped in another one, hopefully two last night but we still could do with another six.

Esso Blue dropped a large brand new mirror off for me to sell on Monday, it's already been sold & raised another £20 for the kitty. Hopefully with a few more down on Sunday & with the use of Barrowabc's van, we can get the rest of the scrap to the weigh-in & swell them coffers a little more.

Anyone willing to put in three hour's from 9:00 am on Sunday?

Neil & probably his lad, that makes five possibly seven, I don't think five of us would even be able to lift the "H" bars on to a wagon to get them to the scrap weigh-in ....must be something very special on this Sunday between 9 & 12 somewhere.

The club have asked if there is anyone that has any tins of paint going spare, doesn't matter if they're full or half used - emulsion, gloss, interior or exterior, anything that we can store & look at using over the spring/summer.

I'll get van sorted for scrap for Sunday where is it been taken to ? Not right sure but think I have a bit of paint over my lock up :flag: what time Sunday ? Can't beleave I'm giving up my lie in on a Sunday knowing my stunning wife is still in bobo's see you Sunday then :flag:

I'm sure I've got a few tins of paint in the garage that won't see the light of day in my house again. Will have a sort through and bring them down next time.

hi all. i admit a very small amount of the mess around this area is the stewards, however the skip, benches,old signage, bottle fridge are nothing at all to do with us they are from the club, they were going to be disposed of a couple of years ago and I was instructed not to get rid as they were wanted, (apart from the fridge which cannot be put in the skip due to removal of these in skips is illegal.
the "old broken goal post's" are not infact broken and are used by the clubs youth development teams.

I'm not talking about the skip/benches etc, i mean all the empty bottles, mcdonalds bags, crisp packets etc around and under the stewards cabin, which are from the stewards.

the fridge can be popped on car park or I'll take it this Sunday as people take them for scrap. The motor inside ect ect
