In our position, any win is a good one. Against a team in a similar position as us its a very good one. Judging by the Iron's fans forum when they saw their lineup, they came for a point. Breaking them down was never going to be easy. And it was positive that the difference was essentially created by a really good move. Feel much better than I did a week ago.

Coming onto the pitch not where he should have but ref tbh was a bit poor

Michael Jolley has revealed that Luke James is on the mend after being knocked unconscious in a nasty clash of heads during Saturday’s 1-0 win over Scunthorpe United.

The Bluebirds forward received more than ten minutes of treatment on the pitch midway through the second half before being stretchered off and taken to hospital for further checks.

“Unfortunately, he was knocked unconscious on the field of play,” explained Jolley.

“Although he regained consciousness in the dressing room, he was able to sit up and talk to people, he has still gone to hospital to get checked out which is the right thing to do.

“All our thoughts are with him and hopefully it’s not too serious and he will be okay.”

Absolutely massive 3 points, with nobody else winning at the bottom a really good day for us.
Not sure about the shape of the team, Eardley played at right back and we had nothing ahead of him on the right hand side. Hopefully a work in progress.

The shape was 4-4-2
Biggins was playing on the right of midfield but drifted in to his natural central midfield position - when we went forward Beadling sat to allow Eardley and Brough to push forward

If 4-4-2 is the plan going forward we must have a right winger on the transfer shopping list. Biggins did much better today but naturally kept finding himself more in central midfield

Two poor teams today but new chap did well i thought.Good goal but the usual headless chicken performance defending the last ten minutes.credit to Biggins for me his best game so far.
Quigley throws himself about so much to win fouls etc I think because he so frustrated with the lack of service from midfield and misses rooney quality which showed his good performances last season.Still need creative midfielder and a centre forward to take load off Quigley.James was not suited too long ball high in sky passing when up against tall opposition.Enjoyed radio commentary and liked John Goodwin comments made me laugh.Hopefully when team strengthened we will be difficult to beat and have cutting edge and will learn game management for end periods of games. We not out of woods but are slowly getting more resilient.

Great to hear Luke James is ok. Never nice to see anyone unconscious. Well done to the team who responded on the pitch.
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you :scarf:
