Forgot to mention in all the excitement yesterday. Tony Johnson has been busy at the club lately & has cleared all the West terrace of weeds, quite a back breaking job for one man. If anyone wants to help him out or do a bit on their own at anytime just drop us a PM & we'll arrange access & the tools you'll need.
The other option is Jonty is arranging a visit so you could get in touch with him. Jonty, don't know when your on about doing your weeding visit but might be an idea to tie in with our next visit (below) up to you & if you've arranged something else that's fine mate.
Our next main visit to the ground will be a week Sunday although a couple of evenings will be spent dong the BST office which we're still after someone to help us out with the painting in there, all the holes have now been filled so it's just a case of four flat walls.

There's three of us going down but I've no idea how big these are & Jamie wasn't certain either.
We'll be there at 4:15pm. It should only take half an hour.
Does this mean we ARE refurbishing the pylons, or could the new lights be still fitted
to new poles/pylons?
Paul, are you Paul Casson? you should really know this!!
This is the plan according to Jamie (although I suppose things can change as they have done already with the idea of the poles now apparently gone)
1/ Remove the top thirds on each of the three floodlights.
2/ Attach lights to the remaining structure's.
3/ Replace the refurbished top thirds next summer.
4/ Refurbish the bottom two thirds on the three floodlights.
5/ Upgrade the lighting.

Take them packs off you all day - every day Phil, thanks. The previous one's you gave us look great in the BST office & before the Supporters Trust meeting last night we showed a few of the lads in there, I think they were quite impressed with how it all looks.
We'll speak about the "next game board" either next Sunday when we're next down or if that's no good for you we'll try & sort another time.

Thank you to the GMA lads for not only putting so much graft into the trust office (which is going to look brilliant) but for also helping source some furniture.
Managed to get everything we needed from St Marys Hospice furniture warehouse, so not only do we now have some decent stuff, but we've also managed to help a local charity!

Quick call went out this morning & we had four lads turn up to help shift the stuff from the Hospice Charity shop across the the road for the BST office.
Exile picked me up & we met mrssenorita & Corner 91 who very efficiantly managed to get hold of a van

Now that was better than carrying chairs & computer desks across the road looking like a load of large leaf cutter ants.
All the floodlights were on with Russ Gilmour & the electrical people there. Good to see Brian & the club chaplain having a wander around as well. Brian also seemed very pleased with his new role when we were speaking to him.

Does anyone have a kitchen sink lying around that they no longer want? We'll be fitting one in the BST office but would rather not buy one, not too bothered about the size as we can cut the worktop to fit.
On a more sour note, the ground was broken into again yesterday evening. I wont mention the persons name who found these teenagers in there for obvious reasons.
He went to the ground just after eight to do something for the club & found the outside water taps left running (again) resulting in flooding by the GMA. He then saw some signs lying on the pitch (which were in the press box when we were down earlier in the day) He went across to put them away when a lad ran out from the press box & out of the pop side turnstiles (their common escape/entry point) & ran off in the direction of ASDA. As he had a precise time, he went & asked their security if they'd have images - which they did, he was caught on camera trying to cover himself with his hoodie, when the person went back into the ground there was more proof of another person escaping that he must have missed ten minutes earlier.
The press box had it's heaters on with bits of flammable material lying on them & other bits that looked as though they'd been set alight.
The police are being informed & you would hope with the exact time being known they could contact the car spray booth next to the ground who has offered to let the club have access to his CCTV images in the past. Hopefully between the two sets of images there'll be enough to catch him.
Wouldn't it be great to have a good shot of his miserable little kipper on the front page of the EM?

was there a mention of getting our own cctv installed or would that not be viable i think that with all that has gone on it would be pretty useful

I was at the ground until 7-20 yesterday and I didn't see any little scoats around, more's the pity.. It makes my blood boil that people give of their time to improve the facilities and morons like these spend their time trying to wreck things. Is there anyone with a pitbull who wants a press box as a kennel for a couple of nights?
Hopefully he/they will be caught and chucked in the slammer for a year but I doubt it. A slap on the wrist and told to behave probably. Useless bloody cretins.

I'm no expert but could we use "smart water"? or would that be too expensive or a silent alarm now that would sicken them!
I know it would be a pain Ian but is it easy to turn water off at the mains?
