I know it would be a pain Ian but is it easy to turn water off at the mains?
Not sure what to do with the water problem Nige, someone with some plumbing know how could have a look at it I suppose.

Thanks bud, check PM's.

The press box is getting close to the stage where we'll be fitting motion detectors & putting the warning signs up on the outside, possibilty we'll do that next Sunday.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Is the press box any nearer to completion? Concern has been expressed by the inhabitants.

I'm not sure which inhabitants you mean, the football season inhabitants or the close season, spotty faced, hoodied ones.

I'll be totally honest Elaine, we're a bit away from it being the finished job but that's been for very good reasons (no conspiracy theories strawberry)
I will also say without a shadow of doubt it will be ok to use come the first pre season friendlies & even though not at the stage we thought it would have been, it'll be a damn sight cleaner than the state it was left in at the end of the last season!
Bins full of waste food that were overflowing, rotting & stinking. I hope when the lads finish the job in there the occupants will look after it a bit better this coming season.

Hopefully if enough turn up this coming Sunday we can put four lads in there while we finish other jobs we'd started.

Nice comments off Andy Burns yesterday about how good the team think the home changing rooms are after the refurb of them late last year. I think the NSC will also be pleased to hear that as they paid for all the materials in there.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Hiya bud.

Great offer of help that, thanks. Without sounding too daft because I see you refer to yourself as "Kendal bluebird" but are you based locally? would there be any chance of you coming to the ground this Sunday? this is when our next visit will be & as well as this water flooding problem caused by the intruders we're also looking for help/advice on another small job. Drop me a PM mate.

For anyone else who wants to stick in a few hours this Sunday, we'll be opening up at 9:00am - turnstile "C" Wilkie Rd.

Absolutely loads of jobs from weeding/spraying, painting, fitting a sink. plumbing, basic electrical work, litter picking. If enough turn up we'd also like to make a start on re-assembling the garage for Gareth (the groundsman) to use.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Terrace Weeding this Sunday!! 9:30- 12 ish

Looking for volunteers old and new to come down to the ground this Sunday- Ready to tackle some of those weeds and help get the ground ready for the season ahead.

Far more fulfilling than a Sunday morning kip in!

If Trevor is reading this can you arrange for the skip to be emptied please? Sinkfall never fail to respond immediately they are asked. Our thanks as per usual.
I notice the main skip bins haven't been emptied. These are becoming a nuisance as we repeatedly have to ask for them to be emptied now.

On Sunday can someone please spare the time to remove all the rubbish that has gathered where the footings have been dug out for the new wall. Rubbish blows round the corner from Holker Street and has ended up finding a home there. That area is pretty unsightly from inside the ground with some potential accidents waiting to happen.
I haven't dared ask if the tank has been filled so the popular side toilets can be flushed. :o
