However, as said before by so many the ground is in dire need of something?? spectator comfort is a big big thing along with having a decent tem to watch.. imo, it goes hand in hand and until facilities improve I doubt the crowds will increase by more than a few hundred! FFS, I just wish more people would jump on board and get behind something that is local an on the door step!
This would kind of support both arguments to that. As Fleetwood progressed higher their attendances went up ( I know there are many other factors like Blackpools demise and a different location to us etc) but as Fleetwood have had good seasons their support has grown. Couple that with a lot of stadium renovation and a club that can now provide most of its own income then its a winning mixture than has seen the best results possible.

Fylde on the other hand have seen increases in crowds with the building of a shiny new stadium ( again with things being put in place to increase income other than that of the chairmans pocket money) Fylde had a plan, then managed to balance infrastructure with playing budget and its worked, similar to Fleetwood. We are pretty much 90% - 95% playing budget it would seem.
The club needs a direction. It needs some sort of plan to aim for. It needs to have checkpoints to make sure its still on track. At the moment it just seems as if its playing football with a big wage budget and existing. No one really knows whats going on at the moment and its the perfect time for the clubs owner to come out and say " Right then, lets shut all these people up and show them we mean business, here are our aims and how we plan to meet them."

The takeover by Paul Casson 'had' to happen to help the club survive. If anything Paul probably got carried away and suggested lots of things that he might like to do but without at that stage full Knowledge of how difficult some might be.
The irony is that I don't think he needed to promise or suggest a lot of the things he did to get the votes for the takeover - I think simple financial stability guarantees would have have been sufficient.
As I said on the stage at the Agm/Egm about the vote it needed 'a leap of faith' for some people to vote to give up the membership model for that of a single owner. I beleive it was the correct decision then and has proved to be over the last few years.
Does it mean all is rosy? Far from it - I no longer go to matches for various reasons but I now have a perspective of the club from outside the 'bubble' that regular fans live in. Truth is there is apathy towards the club from most of the town and that is one reason why I think the 'build it and they will come ' philosophy will not work and hence why I think promotion to Football League might be a disaster in the long run.
As I said people seem frustrated and disappointed despite this being one of the most successful seasons in the last 50 years.
I agree with you that promotion to Football League might be a disaster if it occurs this sesason. We're not ready for it!
I was looking at the Div 2 table recently - if Portsmouth, Plymouth, Carlisle and Doncaster are promoted there's only really Blackpool and Morecambe that could be classed as 'attractive' opposition in that league. We might be better staying put as we could be playing Fylde (with their new stadium) or Salford/Stockport next season...

Do clubs not get some kind of half decent payment for reaching the promised land?

They do but it's widely accepted not enough. The payments made to clubs through the leagues is quite another, often emotive, subject.

Stalybridge have announced they are looking to move to a new ground closer to Stalybridge station.
Wish the club would give us the bigger picture everything is going quiet again.

I would do the exact opposite of anything Eastleigh do.
Disaster of a club.

Agree.....Don't copy them.
Need revolving doors on the front of the building.
I make that 4 new managers this season.

Its not about copying them, more to highlight a lot of clubs are on the build whilst we arn't hearing anything at all after promises of " a new stand each season"
