He was left back pedantic Pete.
He was definately playing left centre back. Just got forward at times as Mike Jones/Jason Taylor were there to cover him well.
Happy to concede if I'm wrong but that's what I thought too, watching it. Sam Hird often ventured forward too being covered by Jones or Taylor when he did.
Three centre backs with two wingbacks is what I've been seeing

Well whichever way you look at it Kay and Brough scored and they are the two playing on the left side of defence so you are right.

Must've been a good performance if we're debating such fine points of the game

We lined up 4 _ 2 _ 3 _ 1. So therefore we had two full backs. Barry and Barry I never mentioned Kay. Jesus wept, you ask a perfectly simple question and the formation dance team police swoop in.

Clearly we were playing a back three and wing-backs.

This has been the case in every game since we lost at Woking nearly 14 months ago.

Better beware the Barry Police, too.

probably because most people watching it thing we played 3/5/2 or 5/3/2 - it certainly was not 4 at the back.

yep - that was it - the only question is whether you class it 5 at the back or 3 depending if wing backs are defenders or midfield players.

Definitely 3 centre backs, Barry and Kay at wing backs. Brough pushed on a lot last season from centre back as well, can do so again now Taylor and Jones are there to cover

Thanks for the highlights Chipmunx. First game I've missed. OOOppps, second. Harrogate away was a nice circle.

At times yesterday you could almost class them as forwards!

The energy and attacking threat they bring to the team is a massive strength - there aren't many wing-backs around who are as good as they are.
