The main issue i have with CT is that i'd expect him to have a bit more composure on the ball and confidence in his own ability to take a good first touch and then pick an accurate pass, even if it was just a short ball, rather than just lobbing balls forward first time like its a baked potato just come out of the oven.
Walsall FC v Barrow AFC

Rob Kelly obviously read the Walsall forum comment 'only come to life when they go behind' then instructed the players to leave it as late as possible !
Re: Walsall FC v Barrow AFC
I didn't watch the game but note from the highlights who is our furthest forward player pressing the Walsall defender into clearing it long from the throw in, Jason Taylor. Not doing too badly for someone who's legs have gone, to be that far up the pitch and working in the 87th minute. Without that they play the ball out, it doesn't come straight back to us and we don't score.
He may not be the quickest,I don't think he ever was but he does a job in there that no one else does.
Good result and another clean sheet. A lot more organised under Kelly now and whilst we wont score loads, if they're keeping it tight at the back and taking our chances when they do come it's a good combination.
What a difference from after the Morecambe debacle, still a long way to go but there's actually some belief now in the players and fans again. That seemed lost under Jolley.

Ide guess he's one that we abused the furlough system withIt was certain players who approached the club inquiring about the options of using the system so IMHO your comments are out of order
We can all have our own options so zip it.

I just thought Beadling was injured for the Walsall game again that's why he wasn't on the bench. Just an assumption by me. However as you said in the next post so nice to wake up next morning with a win. Plus not a bad set of results so far this saturday.MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 10:55 amBeadling came on as sub for Chris Taylor against Mansfield.
One more thing. When we beat Cheltenham 3-0 in December they had just gone top of the league. They've just gone top again tonight. Would be nice if history repeated itself this coming tuesday.

Never known so many injuries. Hardcastle seems to have been out again for a while already.

Any update on Chris Taylor's gonads after receiving a tight handle from Jason Taylor in the celebration?
