I watched an old episode of Porridge tonight where Heslop spoke about going to Barrow in Furness. Nailed on now, innit?
And I heard it from Ives!!!!

Football gossip for Lincoln fans: Told Barrow have returned with second offer of around £25k for Matt Rhead, but it has been turned down.

Hope we don't go much more. £25k would buy a similar striker I'm sure

I think I might have to buy a season ticket to make sure I can get in next season.

I share the generally upbeat nature of the posts about the recent signings.
I wonder if anyone has any information, or is prepared to speculate, about the goalkeeping situation?
I've suggested before that Dixon is the most improved player at the club.
What happens if he gets injured?
If all the players are now full time pros, I wonder who will be prepared to come in as understudy, or back up, and not even sit on the bench?
I wonder who plays in goal in training matches?
Very interested to know the answer(s).

During the interview linked by MarkMc above, Cox details the other positions he wants to get sorted and another keeper was one of them. Plenty of time to get sorted.

If Matt Rhead is heading downwards it is probably a good job Andy Cook decided to leave Barrow.
Both Rhead and Cook had a combined total of 26 goals and assists last season.

Hes 32, at least a stone overweight, has scored 20 goals in this league on the one occasion. Having to bid higher than £25k is just stupidity, never mind having to pay his wages for at least 2 years.
Then again what does money matter when weve got loads of it.

Fortunately, I have more confidence in Paul Cox's choice of players than I have of yours son.

...and that time needs to be used well so we get the right players, as emergency loans are no longer available. We will still be able to sign loan players but not outside of the transfer windows.
