Re: New Signings Rumours
Platt has signed according to lad working in coral in town.
Re: New Signings Rumours
I know he has now signed a new deal, but £150k for Quigley even on his old contract would be an insult!LCBAFC40 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 3:24 pmThere will always be rumours esp our best players but 150k for the top goal scorer, still on 2 year deal, plus who would you get in place to possibly be our top goal scorer again this season? The BOD would be mad to let this one be true....HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 12:25 pm So Quigleys signed for Stockport and Northampton this week........

Re: New Signings Rumours
sounds like Barrow's type of player looking at this;-Wintergreen wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 5:55 am Stephen Humphrys (striker) Southend to Barrow for £50k?
On 25 February 2019, he suffered a collision with Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Johnny Maxted as he won a header which would result in a goal. In the process, he suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket and 15 broken bones in his face, leading to metal plates being inserted and the need for a face mask to be worn for the rest of the season
looks like a younger forward version of Jason Taylor...
*although this rumour surfaced on one of those twitter rumour sites and was on Southends forum on Monday and has been ridiculed on there. 10 goals in 31 matches at L1 level and born in Oldham so no stranger to the north - so who knows?

Re: New Signings Rumours
Thought it may be significant that both Platt and White were at the presentation- Platty looked very pleased - good luck to them both - they each played their part in a remarkable campaign .boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 5:31 pm Platt has signed according to lad working in coral in town.

Doesn't exactly sound as though he'll set the world alight!russell_anderson wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 11:43 am Another one?

Re: New Signings Rumours
Hes only a young lad but does have a bit of experience so for the right wages he probably be a good addition to the squad and unless hes better then what we get in or have then he'll be a bench player. Like the lad we are rumoured to be bidding 50k for, hes fairly young but has experience in higher league and a decent goal record. We released a few players so if the lads coming in are better then we are in the right track to give a real go in league 2!barrowfan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 1:51 pmDoesn't exactly sound as though he'll set the world alight!russell_anderson wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 11:43 am Another one?

Re: New Signings Rumours
We've lost a few midfielders (released or sold) so we really could do with cover for most positions. Obviously we need more at the back and probably another striker who can score goals unlike our previous subs but a good squad size will benefit us in the long run
Re: New Signings Rumours
Might be miles off, but expecting one in tomorrow.

Re: New Signings Rumours
We have 13 not 14 (with Rooney leaving) and that doesn't include Brown or Hindle - so we are looking at probably 7-8 new players and that number might include Brown/Hindle.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 9:48 pmWe have 14 players. Expect another 6 ot 7LCBAFC40 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 2:12 pm
