Looks like Coops on the up and up. Ardley still favourite. Of course the betting is apparently being manipulated by Workington branch of the Triads, so who knows the truth.

Jim wrote: ↑Fri May 21, 2021 9:01 am Well, looking at the list of managers ofered by William Hill, for example, I would go for Paul Tisdale, Colin Calderwood or John Sheridan. However, the first two are very much southern based and all are probably (excuse 'little Barrow' syndrome) out of our range.
Tisdale has been a hot mess outside of Exeter. Isn't Sheridan always getting sacked by somebody? How he keeps on getting employed is beyond me.

He keeps on getting employed because he has a knack of knowing a good player from a not-so-good one and getting them to not just sign for him but play for him at the extent of their capabilities his brand of football is what you Barrow boys claim to want to see.

I wouldn't take too much notice of his latest stint at Swindon where either nobody told him or he ignored them when they did that in Wiltshire the manager doesn't get to pick the team the owner Lee Power does that and i can't see that having gone down too well with Mr Sheriden and i.m told he went days without even being there a situation that seemed to suit both parties.

However, you then have to balance that with his alcoholism and mental instability apparently, the directors threw a party at Carlisle when he announced he was leaving despite them being just off a 14 game unbeaten run and playing their best football for a decade as was evidenced this week when his name came up during the forum when a director mentioned a couple of his foibles the whole panel broke out in laughter

Silly season is well and truly in full flow, just never thought a joke facebook post would cause such a commotion. What's next, the painting in the fanzone bogs isn't the right shade of blue?

Why does it matter? it's just harmless fun and the more you and others react will just mean they'll ( the wind-ups ) will keep coming!
Perthbluebird post is 'false and misleading' on subject that is very important to the membership of this forum. It's not a post about the fanzone.

If this irresponsible behaviour is allowed to continue by the Moderators, then the Forum loses all credibility, because you will never know what is truth or what is false, indeed a blatant lie.

Jocks post is not about his 'opinion', to which he is of course entitled.

He intends it be an 'Official Barrow AFC' statement (to which the Club should have some objection to) and seemingly he's being allowed to get away with it because "its just harmless fun".

Sorry, it's not. It's irresponsible and damaging.

I for one believed it to be FACT and only found out later it wasn't. At some point it might become a true statement, but right now it's not.

I know for a fact the PB has been warned before about his posts. This time he's gone over the line.

He has opened the door or even the floodgates to anyone copying a past Twitter or FB post, manipulating it to read 'whatever' and then paste it on this forum as accurate.

IE: 'Barrow AFC sign John Rooney as Player/Manager' or 'Barrow AFC go bankrupt'.

In the real world PB would be sued and a Court would order him to 'cease and desist'.

The Moderators know the track-record of complaints against him and if several warnings have not changed his disruptive and irresponsible posts, then it might be time for stronger action.
Have to say I agree with you 'SayitagainSam'. By taking no action against false and misleading posts, regardless of the source of the origin, can and probably will lead to future unbridled and unrestricted liberty to post misleading articles on any subject at all which could ultimately prove to be most damaging and embarrassing for this forum and ultimately the club.

I’d be surprised if Sheridan wanted it after how we treated his brother. Maybe new ownerships so bygones and bygones etc. I doubt he will have much love for us.

"how we treated him" ! Don`t think he had any arguments after what had gone on.
