forget about Holt imo. radio cumbria would like to see him installed as manager for their own prestige. He has been a pundit on their airwaves in the past and has the gift of the gab and thats what they like. imo,we need someone that wants (needs) to earn a living from being manager of Barrow, not someone who wants to learn his trade and can just walk away at the drop of a hat when things go wrong.

Personally I would prefer a manager with experience to at least this level.I am not in favour in bringing an ex crowd favourite with no management experience.

I liked Holt's reaction when he was asked about the job. It was in contrast to Moore's who was much more on the fence, it struck me like he thought the job might be too much for him. I think Holt's confidence & enthusiasm along with the likely positive reaction from the majority of fans would at least give the club a big boost and hopefully get the season on track. That might sound a bit like short termism but if the club has that feel good factor and results pick up then it could really snowball for the season.

Whoever we bring in; be it an experienced manager or a novice...if they do well then they will inevitably be courted by higher level/bigger clubs. It happened with Cox and Edmo even. It's natural order.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

I thought Holt treated it as if someone had asked him if he fancied paintballing at the weekend. A kind of " yeah , ive always wanted to give that a go, I'll see if i can come"

I Disagree, Take enough time to bring the best person available who wants the job, not any quick knee jerk reaction & bring in someone just because they express an interest, we'd we worst off in the long run.
Its because of a "knee jerk " reaction we are in this bloody messs!
Agreed, Thanks for nothing Coxy.

Can't leave it to long though mike.we need to start winning games asap.,and though we could of won both under Moore with some luck,we didn't.need.hopefully cassons got someone lined up quick
I agree Paddy, Work flat out to bring in the best suited candidate just don't rush it to a point of accepting someone to hastily & regret it later on, ''tis always a gamble though but the more research & vetting reduces the risk

I agree someone like Askey from Macclesfield would be decent if he would take the job.

We need someone who plays attractive football and wins games, they also need to get the town back on side to increase attendances. Tough to find in non league football

Good footballers dont usually find there way down to this level and if they do they are usually picked out to go higher (see last season)

The lower you go the less football is played.

That's what confused me with coxy Mansfield scored goals for fun and destroyed a lot of teams the only assumption I can make is the budget he was given didn't allow him to get the players he desired, no doubt one of Paul Cassons devoted followers will put me right
