Mud heaps? Thou were lucky! Me and my 10 brothers had to pay 3 shillings each to play on a stinking rubbish tip, then take a bath in the freezing Reservoir, before walking 8 miles home, usually backwards, in the pouring rain in the pitch black. Washing Machine? Luxury. Pure luxury! We lived in a hen-house, but it was home to us, had to wash our kit in the septic tank, before our Dad would beat us silly with a cricket bat if we hadn’t won by at least 7 goals. Try telling that to the young ones of today.

You 'ad it lucky! I worked 27 hours a day, 9 days a week! And were 'appy about it!

Adam's Johnson post match interview of Jolley was excellent. I thought he pushed jolley hard in the futures of individual players credits where credits due. Looks like Sea and Gribbin heading for the exit, I'm sure Zouma will follow. If were going to a 442 a right winger will be high on the agenda I would have thought.
