Don't get excited - in the UK Fray Bentos is a brand of Steak and Kidney pie which we know rather than the city in Uruguay.

Maybe the name of this is because....
A monumental refrigerator installed since the 19th century on the banks of the Uruguay River became an essential weapon in the war against the Nazis. The cans of corned beef with the Fray Bentos brand - the Uruguayan city where they were produced - fed the Allies, worried the Germans and even reached the hands of the Soviet Army.
