Darrell Clarke now confirmed as new coach on the official Barnsley club site. Was until a few hours ago manager at Cheltenham.

Feels like somebody may have been gazumped. Wither now oh blonde haired boy manager?

There has been about 18 pages of rubbish spoke on here speculating hes gone after i said hes gone, hes gone move on and take the egg off your faces for all the sarcastic comments which have now stopped since the realisation he is going. Clearly taking longer to sort out contracts than expected, just up in the air now if we announce the new Goalkeeper we have signed before we say Wild has left and we announce our new Head Coach soon after (full stop)

According to some sources his appointment is imminent. Did we get the wrong club?
Possibly, maybe it's Barnstoneworth Utd he's going to.
Is it not prayer time at the RC/Simpson/Pieeaters shrine ?

This all needs putting to bed now it's getting tiresome and can only be unsettling for the players and the summer recruitment process.

Maybe Pete Wild’s gonna come out of the shower Bobby Ewing style and pick up where he left off. Meaning we’ve imagined the whole thing and the silence from him and the club was a dream, wishful thinking I guess😁

Oooo, tetchy. Let's remember it's you and your mate, jeff1966, that have sparked these 18 pages of rubbish.

So Wyll Stanway signs and the photo on twitter is of him and Ian Wood rather than PW.

Well no comments from Mr Wild on the latest signing only Wood.

I think we will have been offered money for Farman and sold him.
We needed another keeper. Lillis aint playing next season. We had to twist his arm to play on for another season last season hence we have now offered him a full time goalkeeper coach position.

Farman going nowhere. Wyll is a genuine contender to challenge him for his spot.

Why ? Lets not forget we have a no 2 keeper in Lillis who has been offered a deal as fulltime coach with precisely the idea of bringing in a younger stopper to keep Farman on his toes, deputise where necessary and more importantly finally step into his shoes. Having seen young Wyll play a few times and followed his career I can tell you he is very Farmanesque even down to shithousery - he was suspended last season for five yellows mostly for timewasting.Chester fans reckon they have got a decent fee for him possibly with a sell on clause.
