Re: On his way
Hopefully Wyll has a sell on clause in his contract with us incase he does well and continues to progress through the pyramid. Chester fans seem gutted he's moved on, normally a good sign

There has always been a strange culture around our club when we use the phrase “undisclosed” in that there is an assumption that the fee is insignificant. I can assure our supporters that we have received a significant fee which I hope to be given the opportunity to reinvest in the squad. The sale of players for these type of fees needs to be a significant part of the club’s model.

The club would negotiate a sell on clause when a club approaches him under contract.

Re: On his way
Welcome Wyll, good to see a local lad joining the club
But why is Iain Wood publicly representing our club looking like a hobo?
I mean he’s a senior executive surely he could put on shirt when being posted on the clubs official Facebook profile
This is poor and makes a less than good impression.
Or we could complete the picture and give him some grass to chew.

Re: On his way
I instinctively disagree with this opinion. A shirt doesn't make an occasion more official, or appropriate. Iain looks perfectly suitable to be stood outside welcoming a young bloke in a footy shirt. How often are similar occasions posed for in tracksuits?EABluebird wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 6:59 am Welcome Wyll, good to see a local lad joining the club

Anyway, I hope young Stanway makes a good fist of challenging for the keepers position. Nice one.

“Grass to chew” What is the need to be so rude? This guy is part of the success of this club and you’re trying to tear him down.
I couldn’t give a crap what people wear
