Thanks for bringing that to my attention "popsider" however when I looked at thomas cook I had the same outcome as "Bingo" i found that Bluebirds Currency Club was providing an extra $26 dollars for every thousand pounds spent... a bit puzzled by the rate you got. I can't find the rate you stated anywhere...
I suppose the "point" is this... if you buy your holiday currency through Bluebirds Currency Club it raises money for your club... and you get the best rates in town... everyone wins, does that make sense? I hope so, but if you need any further information please feel free to let me know.

Not wishing to get into a slanging match but, after purchasing US dollars from Covent Garden FX last saturday at a rate above $1.61 to the pound when Thomas Cook's were offering just above $1.56 to the pound, I rang Cook's just 10 minutes ago asking about their rate today. I was told the rate hadn't changed yet but yesterday's rate of $1.56 still stood. If popsider could tell me how to get the rate he got I would be very interested.

Has anyone else bought holiday currency from Covent Garden FX? I'm a bit reluctant to hand my hard earned pennies over to a random website, I agree the rates are fantastic, but I'm worried that things that look to good to be true often are.
Any thoughts my friends?

Cheers Charlie, if you tell me they're reputable and I won't get conned then I'll be a happy man. And if I do get ripped off I know you'll give me the money back

Going to use them soon and best deal I can see- today £1 = 1.15 euro
looks very straightforward to do following the link on the official site or in this thread.

I used then last week for £1000 of euros. Great rate and the money was with me with 2 days. Was a bit concerned about having to do a bank transfer but no issues at all.

I used them in June when I went to Brazil and the normal rates were around 2.80 to the pound but using Currency Club link on the first page and I got a rate of about 3.06 so it really made a difference. The only stipulation was that I had to order a minimum of £350 but it is well worth it to yourself and the club if you can use them as their rates were superior to what I could get elsewhere.

I have used them three times now for a variety of currencies and found their service to be spot on. Money delivered on the day requested, even next day if they receive your payment within the time limits. Still better than local rates but last time I ordered BAFC had not updated their exchange rates to match Covent Garden FX and so adjustments were made by a very understanding Covent garden staff member. I phoned the club to inform them and so, hopefully, the rates posted on BAFC are the current rates.

Looking at the link from the club site it is all external to the club mate, all updated by CGE.

Just wanted to bump this back up. I've used them this week. The exchange rate was the best by a country mile and the service excellent. And the club benefits from a bit of commission. Win win.
If you're still planning some time away I can highly recommend them.
