We have a really, really poor manager.

He has proven time and again that he is not good at revamping the squad. He has proved beyond question that he is incapable of getting a side to play attractive football. He has proved time and again that he is devoid of man management skills.

He constantly blames the players he signed when we don't win.

Arnison, Bowen, Parkinson, Heywood, Nicholas, Winn, Newton..

Need I go on?

How much more proof do people need that he just isn't any good at his job?
+1 Couldn't of put it better myself ;) We've gone full circle now, the football is about as exciting as it was under Phil Wilson and the results are similar too!! I don't think we'll go down but this season is a write off already, time for a change quickly so the next person can start building something for 14/15!

The fact is he's worried if he dumps her, he might not find a better, slimmer bird. That shouldn't be reason enough to keep her on though.

Bayliss is our fat bird. He used to be all slim and nice but now it's gone a bit sour so it's probably for the best if we go our separate ways and get back out on the pull.
Like this post and agree fully with it
Yet it won't happen and we'll be stuck
With the fatty :(

Another first class assessment from Reg.

Sadly the BOD bought back into DB because of his 'passion for the club'. In other words 'scouse bullshit' which is what we get all the time now.

Up there with the best posts I've ever seen on here. Funny and absolutely right.

Bayliss wants him to take on poacher role.

Where is poacher? I miss him.

Reg I'm not making excuses at all, just offering one possible reason. You are probably right, he is a poor manager, I just think he is average. Every manager fails at some point in their career and more than once, Bayliss failed last year, as did the club as a whole. We seriously don't know if the loss of Sheridan had anything to do with the teams failure, but from the outside it does look like that.

Not a rant at you Reg, honest... According to this forum all the success of previous seasons have been pinned firmly to the chest of Sheridan, all failures belong to Bayliss. That's the impression. Those failures built on the back of a couple of seasons of financial disasters that could have ended the club altogether. The BOD aware of that situation then decided he was worth another chance as the club is well capable of surviving financially at CN level, but then again this forum has it in for the BOD as well. He signs up a load of players for pre-season, then again signs up others on the eve of the season. A few games in he lets a few go we loose Hulbert, and brings in a few loan players. The side is still constantly changing and has still done reasonably well given the opposition they have played. They are still strangers though and the performances show it. Players running the wrong way and missing a pass sent the other way, moving to late and the pass goes to no one, etc. These things happen all the time but even more in a side that don't know each other very well, they simply need a bit more time, but no one is that patient these days.

Since losing to Bath on that miserable Tuesday Night 18 months ago we have been on a decline - time for changes we will never have a settled side with Bayliss in charge

And you think that is acceptable at CN level?

Lets face it the board chose to keep Bayliss on and they are not going to change that decision no matter how bad things get or how far attendances fall.

They will fiddle whilst Holker Street burns.

It happens at premier league level so its almost inevitable that it will happen in the CN

I know the footballs not been great but I honestly think some people turn up on a saturday expecting to see Brazil or Barcelona not Barrow.

Don't like it but its a fact we have to live with at this level. Especially with players that have only had a handful of games together.

Like I've pointed out the changes that have been made are bound to have disrupted any flow it had. Given the last few friendlies, we would likely have been hammered by a very poor looking Brackley on the opening day and gone on to get thumped by Alty. Had that happened the Bayliss out campaign would have been in full voice sooner. As it was we held our own and Brackley only just got a winning goal, Alty were narrow winners against a 10 man Barrow that were unlucky not to get something at the death.

The standard of play is worse in general than the sides we were playing last season, after all we were relegated. Where you believe Bayliss is solely responsible for getting us here or not neither here or there, we are here. He is certainly not responsible for the poor standard of this league and we are not going to get attractive football at this level at such short notice, impossible. Some of the sides we have played have been together far longer than our team and they don't look very good either. Unreasonable expectations from the fans, we are turning into Stockport with a serious lack of patients. Rest of the teams will be laughing at Barrow fans for the attitude that is being shown. Internal fighting always pulls clubs apart in these situations as a section of fans starts to decent.

The witch hunt to get Bayliss out is only going to end in tears and Barrow football club will only suffer due to the squabbling. The past is the past and is not part of this season, we have a fresh start with new players as a part-time club. It might be the same manager as before but there is no cast iron reason to get rid of him. The NWEM poll showed well over 69.7% of 198 where happy with his appointment, I don't think that will have changed very much. Know any realistic replacements given the clubs current status? Whether it is familiarity breeds contempt, or grass always green on the other side regarding a replacement. We need to get behind the team and support it not blast holes in it's staff undermining any progress they are trying to make.

I think the points made are right and kbfc is bang on ;)
Other fans will no doubt be loving the infighting going on
Time will tell for sure
I wouldn't want to be manager of this club that's for sure

How about the other 500 regulars? How about the other potential 1000 floaters that don't come anymore?

Never has been and never will be a good reason for not sacking someone who is clearly not cut out for the job.

This isn't a witch hunt. Far from it.

It's just folk are now beginning to catch on to how inept our manager is.
