Sensible appointment, not exciting but sensible.

The whole business of taking external advice and looking at long term- well we took far too long to come to that conclusion!

Bayles should have gone at the end of last season,this has damaged the club enormously, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

A wee run in the Trophy might just keep some interested beyond Christmas.

Aside from that the only income stream appears to be Uncle Pete re routing us past the merchandise as we come in from the pub

Was the external advise reading this forum? A quite unbelievable statement.

We could have gone about the appointment much better but its par for the course in the scheme of things. To be expected.

Our one and only target it is to get out of the relegation zone this season. If Edmo achieves that then he's been successful. To be relegated would unthinkable.

In a live interview a few minutes ago Brian Keen was pleased with the appointment and spoke of the 'exciting' discussions about Darren's plans until late last night. (In last night's interview BK had talked of DE's 'soft spot' for the club.

He said that thay had discussed him taking on the job after his caretaker spell but that Edmo had felt that he was too young and lacked experience at that time.

Would be interesting to know if there is one plan to see out this season and another for next, in respect of his appointment.

just been looking at his stats for when he was manager for us 5 years ago and it appears that he diddnt lose a game in charge :flag:

lets welcome him on saturday with a bigger crowd than average this season and bring back some of the old flags and banners

Wasn't his caretaker manager spell a joint set-up with Tom Cowan?

Not that I remember although he will have been on the playing staff around that time . Paul Raven was in charge for a couple of games, then he moved on and Edmo stood in for four before moving to Workington.

With the resources Edmo had at Workington I thought he did a cracking job, was let down massively when players left for the money late on in pre-season.
Could well be a decent appointment, he always come over on the radio very well. Time will tell I suppose. Gets my backing anyway.
