Exactly the same interview that Radio Cumbria carried after the game yesterday.

I totally agree with Darren about the defensive frailties but what about our almost non-existent attacking force. In the last few games it has become very difficult to see which if any of the forwards would produce a piece of individual flair never mind scoring a goal. They have all looked void of any natural goal scoring instinct. Personally on the last half a dozen games I would retain any of the present forward line, unless we want to remain in mid-table mediocre. Players need to be reminded that people travel long distances and pay hard earned cash to watch this type of inept performance.

Grant Holt !Sounds great but won't happen. Had to laugh at the twisted humour of someone from FGR who recalled Jase from his loan at Southport to play on Monday at Luton where he was universally hated for his play-off penalty miss a couple of years back. Apparently he was subbed before the end for his own safety. It was felt it would be dangerous for him to be on the field at the final whistle when the expected pitch invasion took place.

I think the defence is not too bad, the poor results recently have mainly been down to not scoring enough goals.

I am happy with the six who are reported to have agreed to stay. Regarding the others, I would like to see Reynolds, Harvey, Rushton if released by Wrexham and if he could be persuaded, and Cribley as a 'wildcard'. Some others could be retained as 'squad players'.

As a priority, we need someone in midfield with experience and leadership qualities. We would probably have to tempt an established player from another CN club.

Sorry Jim got to disagree. We need better quality everywhere and especially in defence. We did ok with three centre halfs but what we really need next season (especially if we have a bigger budget) is a quality centre half, midfielder, winger and striker IMHO :D :D

Talk of Jason Walker got me thinking that there could be several of our former players looking for new clubs in the summer (and I'm not talking about Mukendi et al ). Flynn and Rutherford at Southport. Ruthers played his first game under Coleman( manager since Jan !) on Monday and apparently was impressive. May be wrong but I don't think he's played below Prem so dropping a level may just re-ignite his hunger.Boyes and Bond as well as Walker all on long term loans which usually precedes a summer release. Boyes I think will stick with Guiseley (geographical) but the other two could go anywhere depending on their preferences (part-time,finance etc). Wouldn't say no to either and remember by then we may have a bit more financial clout. Richie Baker is another but I think he has missed a chunk of the season with injury. Finally there is Skelts and Jacko at Wukkie. Feel Skelts may be involved with their new set-up but Jacko is a definite possibility.

Having listened to a few Workington commentaries this season, I don't get the impression that Jackson is anything special, apart from being a local lad.

9 league goals for a shit team bottom of the league, for a young lad playing up front often on his own is not a bad return,

Possibly, but we should be looking for players who can improve on what we have got. Is he better than Arnison or Rushton?

Last few homes games have seen us out muscled in far too many areas, think we are a bit lightweight.

striker wise- would like to see a player like Ricky Miller from Boston who I thought was great in that 4-4. Real handful and in your face attitude.
