Almost a Dave Conlin slip earlier. Chorley player down with what looked like a bad injury.When he got up commentator said he's up, DC said' sh** sorry good '

Conlin was about the best I have heard on there to be honest. Made a couple of minor slip ups but hope he gets the gig again.

Cheers Si, Cono did a cameo role at home last season, can't remember the game but he did ok then!

Did alright, jittery start but grew into it as he got more comfortable behind the mike, will get better & is a decent back up OR Co-commentator to Johnny G.

Worked for a long time with Dave, he's a good lad.

Didn't seem to give much of a shit about the soccer like, but he's a good lad.

I heard him refer to Barrow as 'us' on the radio tonight when I was in the car.

Made my toes curl slightly.

John Goodwin was never a Holker Street regular either, but like Cono playing/managing at West Lancs / NW Counties would keep you in that particular sphere for a good while. The fact is they know how it all works and have good insight regarding players and tactics; conversely Grant Holt has played at the highest level and is not so good on the radio.
