Jeez, that was a long seven minutes of stoppage time. But a 1-0 win ground out.

A game of 15 corners for Barrow, a fantastic performance by Boston keeper, and a penalty decision that was about as bad as I have ever seen. Happy to take the points though.

Oh, and I hope the spectacle today means we won;t be subjected to a mystery half-time 'entertainment' again. Wow that was hard to stand through.

A great result but never a penalty. If anything Cook should have been booked.

Barrow 1-0 Joel Dixon

Should have been 5-3, Boston didn't draw a save from McMillan missing the target from a few very good positions. Two of them in the first 3 minutes. They hit the bar in the 2nd with McMillan completely beaten.

In contrast Boston's star man the on loan Sunderland keeper Joel Dixon made save after save, please oh please put as many as you can on the match highlights. Extended highlights on there way ;) . I've not seen such an outstanding goalkeeping performance since... I think Alan Martin on loan from Middlesbrough. He simply could not be beaten, any other keeper and Barrow would have had a hat full. Reid did beat him eventually in the 2nd but hit the far post. In the end it was a mistake from the defence in front of him that cost Boston a point, a full on shoulder charge from a defender sent Cook to ground and although technically a penalty (he pushed him over), it was harsh. The team deserved a goal but Dixon deserved a clean sheet, soft penalty settling it. Some obvious and terrible time wasting from very early in the 1st half, evaporated completely at 1-0 as Boston tried to rescue the situation. Some massive gaping holes in the Boston defence including the keeper getting caught forward at a corner as Barrow broke, Barrow unable to kill off the game.

Great entertaining game, massive 3 points keeping Barrow on top going into the clash against 2nd place Fylde.

Yep, just about sums it up, 5-3 would of been a true reflection of the game. Boston's keeper was superb whilst McMillan didn't have a save to make.
Clean sheet and 3 pts.......Only downer was Pilks off on a stretcher......Looks like he will be out for a few weeks.
Apparently Sunderland were in the crowd watching Joel Dixon.....
