you obviously weren't there today I'd never have guessed he had played in the league to be honest our defence was all over the place ok it is the first game but i expected better from them, mellor and the french guy looked composed and both showed nice touches, not bad performance but with Wilson still injured we only have cook and walker we need someone who can be more mobile up front because jase has lost that yard of pace and cookey look's totally unfit it's alright saying we have 5 weeks but they are professionals let's not forget that!

I quite clearly was there, otherwise I wouldn't have known who it was. The multiple times I have seen Parslow play he has impressed me. He is versatile, and can play all across the back and centre midfield. Don't judge a players performance on one game.

Take a day off.

Was Parslow the No5 for us? I thought he had an excellent game.

This is the lad. Vastly experienced the only worry might be missing a chunk of the 2013-14 season but as you can see this was the result of a freak accident colliding with advertising hoardings not some long-term injury.

Hope we sign Dawson up. Released by Leicester City in June. Not given much game time under Bayliss.

Parslow clearly knows the division and would seem like the type of player we should be aiming for with such vast experience in top-end conference teams.

Dawson would be a good acquisition too, showed flashes of what he could do last time albeit sparingly used in a team that was sliding towards the trap door, his spell at Leicester will have benefited him, think I remember seeing he was on loan at Bristol Rovers last season as well

Adam Dawson was at both Nuneaton and Bristol rovers last season and played 25 games in total in the conference last season, as well as time at Notts County in the league

quote from a Grimsby fan on another forum "Adam Dawson was in my opinion the best opposition player to play at Blundell Park last season, ran Gregor Robertson ragged for 90 mins."
