On a positive front our missing players who we used to engage with at the end of games! It was absolutely fantastic to see Moussa Diarra engaging with the supporters after receiving his MoM award, going the extra mile to come back into the room after formalities to pose for pictures with those in the bar post game.
More of this please Barrow AFC It brought a warm glow and plenty of smiles to those that were there and should be encouraged wherever possible.
It's quite clear that isn't going to happen Mark. The segregated players lounge has made that obvious. The player/fans rapport has vanished now sadly.I don't think they even want to mix which is their choice. Grab your pizzas lads and shoot off home. I passed by someone who was obviously one of our players but hadn't a clue who he was.
Well done Moussa for taking the time to photo call. It didn't take long but will endear him to the fans.
The Solihull players were friendly enough and up for a bit of banter though.

Aye we all know that's all in the past! But nothing to stop the club selecting a couple of players just to go in and do what Moussa did yesterday, mingle for a few minutes enjoy the plaudits then move on to their sanctuary suite!

Its obvious that the stewards just chose who they wanted to turn away - the fact fans had caused problems or not was beside the point.
It was clearly more than 15-20 who were turned away as well and also the stewards were doing it without the authorisation
How many of those who were wrongly turned away by the stewards will now say balls to it, I won't bother with Tuesday's game?
People will come on here moaning again about the crowd being lower than it should be?

I'm the mum your talking about. To set the record straight I was not in 'full agreement' and nor did I give my son a 'bollocking' as someone says. I rang my son to see where he was , he said he wasn't allowed in!!! I spoke to the steward who explained about tues night. I therefore asked to see the evidence and then I would happily give the 'bollocking'. Well as you guess there wasn't any so therefore my son who a) did nothing and b) is a season ticket holder who goes home and away was let in. The steward - who was a nice enough bloke said 'your son probs didn't do anything tues, might have been stood near/next to people. So therefore he had no clue who should or shouldn't be let in...guess if your face didn't fit...I know alot of those kids...good kids I might add!! I am disgusted at the way this has been handled. If people were causing trouble/throwing things why not address it that night???? So sorry, you are tarring all kids with the same brush because of where or who they stand with...I'm pretty sure you can't do this!!!!! Oh and just for the record he dosen't hang around afterwards looking for trouble as he comes home with me. So yeah I'm pretty mad about the situtation and how its been handled...I thought it was a complete joke!!!!!!!!!

Bluey19 - Please don't allow the incompetenty of stewarding displayed at yesterday's game prevent you from encouraging your son from supporting his home town club.
Despite the bottomless pit of money being spent on the wonderful team we have at present, off the field the club is showing very little progress in rebuilding supporters trust. The attendance yesterday proves this.

With regard to segregation:
Could someone please explain to me why away fans are segregated in the Home End ie The Holker End?
Why aren't they situated in the Cross Bar End OR even better - on the terracing at either of the sides of the main stand?
And please don't reply with:
Because the club thinks the Corporate Diners won't like walking past the away supporters
The current segregation policy seems
a bizarre situation to me and is also an invitation - due to the close proximity of our fans to the away fans - for anyone wishing to cause trouble.
To the Officials of Barrow AFC And/Or The Police -
Get it sorted! Before someone is seriously hurt!
And then the attendance figures will fall... drastically!

I can only repeat what I was told when I did a few unofficial enquires yesterday - so I apologise if you were the lady I was given the information about.
Regarding the coin throwing, it really would be hard to identify a couple of people doing that, but we have to remember this all comes hot on the heels of the York City incident - which everyone condemned. If the club were seen not to do anything and someone was injured it has the potential to do massive damage to the club.
Regarding the piece where you say your son doesn't hang around looking for trouble, I never said your son was involved in that group, but I absolutely do know there were 15 to 20 young lads waiting on that corner......for what? I also absolutely do know there were a group of lads on that same corner just after the York City game.....again, for what?
As I said earlier, if anyone feels they've been wrongly treat please just get in touch with me and I will definitely take that back to the club and stewards.

Spirit - In your opinion what would be the best course of action to take to rectify any possible wrong doings for example a teenager innocently trying to attend yesterday's game but resulted in being turned away by an aggressive steward for something they have no knowledge about?

Talk about being put on the spot!
I honestly don't know, there's things that should be learnt for sure.
I know through personal experience what its like to be accused wrongly at a football match, I was dragged off a train many years ago at Preston train station on the way back from watching Macc v Barrow and wasn't given any chance to explain where the transport police had gone wrong. It cost us a small fortune to get a taxi from Preston to Lancaster for the next train.....sitting next to two lads who had caused the trouble......I can tell you, that WAS not the best of conversations on the way to Lancaster!!!
I complained to BR police and got interviewed at my house and received a full apology, although not reimbursed with loss of money and inconvenience.
Back to your question, I will take any complaint back to the club for anyone who feels they were wrongly accused, but I also think that something simply has to be done to try and stop a small group of people becoming a big problem for the club. Surely, that's what we all want?

No problem.....I just didn't agree with how things were gone about yesterday and nor did he get a bollocking as you say. If they showed me evidence I'd be the first to give one tho but I only have the stewards word/my sons. Guess your right about coin throwing but you can't tar them all with the same brush because of where they might stand or may have been near thats hardly fair. Not having a go at the steward he was a nice bloke who I spoke too. Of course no-one wants trouble makers in giving the club a bad name, totally understand that. What happened after York was shocking to say the least and I hope its never ever repeated. I do think tho the majority of teenagers were probably treated unfairly yesterday but hopefully they will all return tuesday night and we can all move on in a positive manor. I will certainly be taking more notice from now on tho. Thanks for your reply anyway.

No problem Bluey 19. I hope your lad hasn't been put off attending in the future and I also hope (as we all do) that the group of lads who are causing the club concern at the moment realise that their actions also affect their friends....and sometimes unfairly as appears to be the case here.
Thanks for the understanding, its difficult for all involved.
