Great move if he can unearth some good players. Not sure he was responsible for signing the players we ended up with im sure Paul Cox would have had the final word.

Thought he would have turned up working alongside cox at Guiseley, guessing it wasn't the club he had a problem with, that wont suit some.

He had mixed success last time around. Worked well with Cox in first season, as the chief scout, but then we don’t really know what happened when he was put into the Head of Football Ops role but it didn’t work.

As everyone says people are not out of contract till June,maybe this a way of bringing someone in without paying compensation to a club.

Regarding “what the hell was Ogden doing” I might be well wide of the mark here but as his role was scouting (before the failed new role he took....crazy goings on at that particular time!) I would suggest he was, well scouting. The final say must’ve been the then managers. You’re not seriously suggesting Ogden as a scout could sign a player without the managers agreement are you? Then again, perhaps you are because it suits you and protects Cox.

Bit underwhelming, yes he did well with bennett and williams, however last seasons findings by him were pretty poor (bauress especially) and from what i can see, his scouting pretty much is Northwich or witton.

His previous years prior to us has been spent in the lower leagues with likes of leek and witton.

Appears to me, he has been appointed with a view to scouring players from lower leagues which id rather do if we are skint rather than signing aging rejects from further up the leagues.

You know him well then? Or are you just blindly going off what we've been told in various statements?

I have no idea whether its a good or bad thing, I'd lean towards the latter given previous history but I hope it turns out to be positive. Either way, I don't see how any of us can truly comment on his ability or knowledge when we know virtually nothing about him other than that he once managed Witton Albion.
