I went to theBarrow v Maidenhead game . I thought the central defence pairing of Dan Jones and the other lad ( old age won’t let me remember names) were a liability, yet both featured in ‘ Teams of the week’. They never won a header between them! Other teams will sus us out if we don’t address it.

Worst we've been all season, but still you could argue we deserved a point.

We really couldn't get our game going today, similar to Maidstone where we also lost. 3G has a lot to do with that, awful surface and makes for a totally different game of football.

Disappointing result obviously but we are not going to win every game losing goals from crosses has and will continue to cost us a decent tall player will generally best a good smaller player in the air , it depends how long the gaffer is willing to stick by the centre halfs , after all he knows that position very well and was superb in the air himself at 6ft 5 inches tall my guess is he's more frustrsted than he let's on and they are on notice! . First season under this new regime will / is bumpy and fun along the way keep the faith.. always a bluebird.

I agree about our lack of aerial presence at the back. We are very vulnerable at set pieces, corners, and crosses from the flanks, which is exactly how we concede the majority of the time. It’s getting the balance right between having players comfortable on the ball who can bring it out from the back and players who can muscle their way in and get their head on it when needed. Not many about who can do it all. I like Jones, but would not have down as a centre half but the boss thinks it’s his best position.

Good news from the post match interview is that Burgess is not as seriously hurt as the commentators feared. got caught with an elbow, sore head, bruising and cut mouth. Evatt didn't say anything to suggest that it was deliberate.

Thinking about the back 4 whilst we lack height for all his reflex saves I think firth could do a lot more he seems to freeze when crosses/corners come what do others think?

A point wouldn’t have been unfair. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t create enough chances and they took the few they had. I thought the referee was awfully one sided; which seems a common excuse, but I strongly believe he was today.
