Fantastic today. We looked a much better side and took advantage of a tired Aldershot side who were very poor. It’s a huge win for the team and hopefully the start of a better run of results. I was desperate for Blyth to start and he proved me right, battling hard to win balls and getting stuck in; he really helped in supporting Smith. The fans were superb once again.

Goodness am wrecked and delighted..Great result, Taylor, Smith and a pat on the back for Blyth, Aldershot were dreadfu mind.

As for the support, well we set our standards years ago. Certainly before my time- mentality

60 people of which 30 sang constantly outsang what is usually the best home support in the league.

Quality day out, for once not spoiled by 90 mins of football. Good beer and banter in the Garden Gate pub before the game (be careful where you put your drinks - the paint's still wet!) followed by a great performance - and result - from the team, cheered on by 62 (that's the official number anyway) noisy Barrow fans. Then a few post match pints in Woking on the way home, just to remind them that we stayed up at their expense last season.

The run of six defeats is ended, could this be the start of a winning streak? Bring on the Wrexham - we need a home victory - on Tuesday and Braintree next Saturday.
