So how the hell did Ian Evatt have serious discussions with the AFC Fylde owner if he is on contract with Barrow AFC did Paul Hornby give permission or did he go behind his back.

Evatt said in the Pre match interview with Adam that it was untruthful. It’s just poison writing caused to disrupt.

We should complain to the FA , this man needs a cigar shoving up his rear end, didn`t like knocking other clubs because we don`t know what is around the corner but I hope AFC Fylde go down.

Whilst there's little reason for any BAFC fan to feel depressed at the moment, if you are suffering from a little post New Year fallout and need cheering up I wholeheartedly recommend that you give the entire feedback thread on Tangerine Holdings a good look.

Whilst feeling sympathy towards those who have suffered at Mr Haythornthwaite's hands, I can only marvel at the multitude of ingenious ways that they have found to describe their feelings. I dont think I've ever seen some many adjectives used to destroy the character and personality of one man. Other than Trump of course.. And wonderfully interspersed by what seem to be nicely crafted but fake positive reviews.

Oct 14: BBC: 'Barrow have rejected an approach from AFC Fylde to talk to boss Ian Evatt about their managerial vacancy. "Ian is extremely loyal and honest and would like to put on record he had no interest in speaking with Fylde," said Barrow chairman Paul Hornby.

Jan 01: AFC Fylde Programme: "We had some serious discussions with Ian and we thought we had a deal agreed, only for him to renege and stay with Barrow", said Fylde Chairman David Haythornthwaite.

Ian Evatt does not DENY speaking with David Haythornthwaite, he only disputes the outcome and any final agreement.

He did NOT have permission from the Board to even enter into discussions, BUT HE DID, apparently....

As per Barrow Chairman, "Would like to put on record he had no interest in speaking with Fylde, as he's extremely loyal and honest".

Come again Paul?

Stop trying to make mischief. Evatt is our manager and he is doing a great job.
Personally I don't care what was said or not said. Our Chairman did an excellent job in keeping Evatt and putting him on a 3-year deal.
If he gets us into the Football League no doubt he'll be in demand and then it's his choice. If he goes we say thanks for what you did Ian, and we get some compo.
Just enjoy the ride while we can! :scarf:

So you seem to be unwilling to imagine that the crook Haythornthwaite might be bending the truth?

‘David Haythornthwaite’ just happens to be an anagram of ‘Why, do hit hard, Ian Evatt’.

listen This man Hawthornwaite is a serious shit stirrer he was annoyed he did not get Ian Evett and now trying to rock the boat at Barrow, take no notice of him, if Barrow wanted they could report him to the F.A. for his approaches look they even tried to fix the gate to show they had more home supporters than they actually had, forget him he is a flawed individual who requires a minder.

He also said in October that he wouldn't mention the matter again. And now he's mentioned it again.

Your a big fan of quotes Sam, heres one from your previous post from the 26th Dec "Have attended the last few home games and can't quite see what Angus has to offer to the team" correct me if i'm wrong, but you hardly sound like a die hard fan, whereas Paul has done a huge amount for this club.

I can believe IE would have discussed things with Fylde officially or unofficially and I see nothing wrong with that.
He has to look after himself .
The positive thing is he stayed and I do not think it was just down to money.
He was given the bullet from Chesterfield how mad must they be
I think if Andew Casson was still running the place he would have left.
The fact the new board leave him to get on with it and back him as best they can is a major plus point.
It's a no brainer obtain a high pay rise and work in a bad environment or take a lesser pay rise continue with your project and attract bigger clubs
