I see the Raiders have had a covid case at their "beer garden". Might be interesting to see what comes of it although the track and trace seems to have been made easier by the booked tables.
Theres no social distancing down there its a utter joke , no track and trace should be shut down

the 2nd of the 2 test matches is Cambridge Utd v Carlisle in EFL 2. The Cambridge capacity is 8127 and 2,500 are being allowed in for that game;- thats 30.7% of capacity - working on 30% of our 6600 capacity would give us about 1980...

Great to see good news like this, as opposed to the usual "we're all doomed" headlines. Hope it goes well. Massive responsibility now on the shoulders of those attending.

6,600 with no Steelworks End? 1,000 seats, approximately 2,000 Holker Street, 2,000 Popular Side. Where do we fit the other 1,600? I hope you are right by the way.

Encouraging news. Hopefully not long now.
Cannot wait to get back into the match day routine. That buzz of driving up, catching the team news on the radio, Parking up and grabbing the scarf, walking up to the ground, hearing the tannoy from outside, buying the “winning ticket” from the raffle lads, grumbling at lack of programmes and then catching some of the warm up. I've missed it all. And no matter if they've been beaten the week before, as soon as you get through that clunky old turnstile, all is forgiven. Cannot wait for fans to get back in there. Lets see us take this step up and give it everything. COYB!!

National infection rate doubles in 24 hours to 6,000.... I have a bad feeling we won't get back soon. I hope I'm wrong but think another national lock down is now likely.

Firstly, detected infection numbers are going up only a little more then the daily increases in testing numbers. Secondly the Leeds, Bolton and Birmingham spikes are the main reason and being dealt with. Thirdly, numbers of deaths and hospital admissions are unchanged in substance.

The number of daily coronavirus cases in the UK has jumped by 2,988, according to government figures.
The increase, up from 1,813 new cases on Saturday, is the biggest 24-hour spike since 23 May, when the UK was in lockdown.
However, government data showed that the number of fatalities had remained at a low level, with two reported deaths recorded on Sunday within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
It is unclear what has caused the surge in cases, which comes days after schools reopened across England and a number of areas were added to the government’s Covid-19 watchlist.
Most of the new cases are in people in their twenties - just hope they don't give it to their parents/grandparents.

In fact the numbers for Sunday were very similar to today's.

UKs infections are now over 21 per 100,000... We are making people go into quarantine if they come back from a country with infections over 20 per 100,000.

It really isn’t scaremongering rubbish. It’s a valid observation. Right round the whole world Covid is a massive problem in itself. There is no vaccine, no means of knowing how dangerous it is long term, no identification of whether herd immunity is realistic or not. As a highly significant ancillary the economy world wide is trashed. To ignore the problem as though it no longer exists is reckless, selfish and dangerous. I am very keen to get back to watching my team, who I have supported for 50 years plus. I am not pretending Covid is no longer a problem, simply because I’m tired, weary and bored with the enforced changes that it has brought about. Yes, like most of the population of the world I have been forced from my comfort zone, but I won’t ignore the danger and I’m prepared to do what it takes for me, and all the people around me. If there are to be no football supporters for the time being, so be it. Dismiss it casually at your peril.
