Re: Squad update
that was announced when the club did the retained list - Connor Brown was the same.
https://www.barrowafc.com/news/2021/may ... wo-season/
We have 10 players who remain under contract with the Club:
Ollie Banks
Tom Beadling
Patrick Brough
Bobby Burns
Jamie Devitt
Luke James
James Jones
Mike Jones
Matt Platt
Scott Quigley
The Club has exercised the one-year option on the contracts of the following players:
Connor Brown
Dimitri Sea
New contracts have been offered to four players and the Club will report further news on these in due course:
Brad Barry
Joel Dixon
Kgosi Ntlhe
Jason Taylor

Re: Squad update
That's why I mentioned Sea - he is, at the moment, as well as Brown in the squad which was missing from McMark's list. I suppose there should not have been a question mark next to Connor's inclusion as well.

Re: Squad update
Devitt for me was underwhelming, Guess he was injured as he missed lots of games, We saw glimpses of quality but just not enough, Hope he’s passed any lingering fitness issues, If not I’d get rid personallyJust A Barrow Fan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 3:54 amDo you really need anyone else when there is Kay or Devitt there?

Looks like Bobby is on his way to recovery if still a good way off it. Still get the impression with what he has been up to with media etc in NI he seems to be settling in back home and may lead to a mutually agreed cancellation of contract. But who knows.

Re: Squad update
if you look at the date on the Gym treadmill tweet it's from February - i'd guess he'll be ready to take part in pre-season trainingSKIPPER wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 2:06 pm https://twitter.com/bobbyburns99?lang=en

Re: Squad update
Personally I think we should give Bobby Burns the benefit of the doubt and the club should exercise their option to play him. After all he is still a Barrow A FC player even though as yet he has not played for the club.I think he should take part in preseason training and then the friendlies. That way Mark Cooper will be able to decide whether or not he is going to be any use to the club. After all the club has been supporting him since his injury and deserve the right to play him,no matter what he thinks. You never know he may be a better player than people think he is and the club needs to a make a proper assessment of his capabilities.

Re: Squad update
Cant think of any midfield formations that we had who consistently performed creatively or dominated games last season. Big area of concern and we need to bring in quality in this area.

Re: Squad update
What were you expecting from the 4th worst team in the league.
Re: Squad update
Thats kind of the point Im making. Tom White aside we haven't strengthened in this area and for me this is the area where we need to bring in quality additions. We need players who are going to lead and help us win the midfield battle. Win that- more chance of controlling the game.behind the goals wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 6:34 pmWhat were you expecting from the 4th worst team in the league.
