Finally, behind the goal has always been hallowed Holker St turf. As far back as I can remember we’ve only ever given it to Darlington due to it being their last game ( at the time ) and about 50 Workington fans for some bizarre reason in the conf north.

We gave the whole of the Holker Street end to Hartlepool fans in 2019 when Pool fans came in fancy dress dressed up as knights. Josh kay scored a wonderful overhead kick to win the game 1.0.

It will be completed by the start of next season. Away capacity will then be 950

Just looked at the availability in the main stand and there appears to be only thirteen tickets left. Anybody who fancies sitting down at this game needs to get their backside in gear.

All individual seats scattered about the stand and I guess there have been returns plus, of course, Carlislians to remove as they desperately seek to witness the automatic promotion dream being well and truly ended in NW Lancashire.

Blimey, we could have league games against Carlisle, Accrington and Morecambe next season.

Well it would be the second closest away game (or closest if Morecambe stay up instead of them) for starters.

I’ve got such a soft spot for Stanley. Their club Is do well run and a gleaming example for all clubs in sustainable growth.
In terms of a spicy local derby? I don’t think we’d get the same rivalry that we have with Carlisle or Morecambe

Localish game and an opponent we haven’t faced for 20 odd years in proper competition- we’d take loads.

Good point, I forgot they are already in League 1. One of my neighbours is a Blackpool fan so he is resigned to them being relegated to L1 - he can’t get used to idea possibility, even a slight one, that they could be in the same league as us! Wonderful, isn’t it! Half way through April and still in with a shout.

Yup, the next two games will likely decide our fate in terms of automatic promotion. Absolute minimum of 3 points to keep hopes alive. Any less and we'll be in a desperate scramble for the playoffs. We rarely do things the easy way, so we'll likely be coming to Holker Street in dire need of 3 points.
