Gotts left Barrow nothing but accolades deservedly so.
Read the comments on the Wigan forum nothing like.
Please go to the Wigan forum
I said prove them wrong and I hope he does.
Please don't say we should sign Presley as well .
Well I think Gotts has left HS with our best wishes and thanks for his efforts.

I’m not sure I’d use the term accolades though. To put the record straight Robbie has taken Four years to establish himself as a decent L2 player. That is a little longer than we would have hoped for. It’s also taken a change of role to find his best position.

Up until the beginning of last season, there were many on this forum who would not have sounded off if we had moved him on and the general opinion of him after a couple of years was that he was mildly disappointing. Neither did he command an automatic starting place.

My own view on his move, beyond wishing him the very best is that I’m not totally convinced that he will cut the mustard at Donny and that may depend upon whether Donny are prepared to accommodate him the way we have. It might not even surprise me if we saw him back on loan at some point in the future. Though I hope not.

So there you go Pedro. Not a universal set of accolades for Robbie. We are pretty kind to our departing players on this forum but you should never base an opinion from what fans say or write.

Hopefully much better. Came across as a really nice lad and very determined to succeed with us.

1st part of a midfield jigsaw
2nd or 3rd part I think?

Campbell replaced by MJ Williams
Gotts replaced by Smith
Spence replaced by Fletcher.

If Campbell or Spence stays then we've got competition for places. If not one or 2 more to come in.
Yeah assuming Campbell and Spence leave I would like to see us sign 2 more midfielders. I think we've been light in the middle particularly when we let White go last season and didn't replace him. Foley will still do a job there too but I have a feeling Foley will be used at the back. Wing seems to like a ball carrying defender which Foley does well

I think MJ will play in a back three. I thought he looked better there than in midfield as he had more time to both carry the ball and pick a pass. Smith to replace Gotts but I still feel we will need 2 more midfielders should Campbelll and Spence go. Fletcher looks ok but he has no pace. Reminded me of Harrison Neal when he ran. We need some pace in midfield as we do in other areas too.

Agree with all of your points. I also think MJ will play in a back 3 where he looked much better than midfield and while Fletcher looks a promising footballer he does lack pace and will have to improve a great deal to be up to the level of Spence or Campbell (neither of which I think have any chance of being with us next season, sadly). Definitely need much more in midfield and attack but plenty of time yet.
