Adam, if we accepted the offer why wasn’t he sold ? Presuming Rovers must have changed their mind ?
Because as it has already been reported Bristol Rovers and Wyll couldn’t agree terms

I can remember something along the lines that Steve Evans said when he took over as boss, he’d lost interest in Stanway, but I didn’t realise it was reported at the time that it was down to personal terms.

Lad made some mistakes but always gave his all, with a decent defence in front of him he can only get better. Se no reason to sell him.

If you listened to Hornbys interview after the January Window he confirmed the club accepted an offer but he felt Stanway didn’t want to go so the move collapsed

Evans said he likes stanway but he's not ready for that level so he pulled the plug, and they already had Luke southward as GK , it's who you believe I suppose
I personally didn't want Wyll as our no 1 from the very start .

Terrible loss on an asset for us really. Wouldn't be so bad if we stayed up. Praying we have a decent sell on clause and he gets a bigger move at some point

How do you quantify that? How do you determine that one save ,er, saved us points but another didn't and was just run of play? It's just not possible.

Exactly my thoughts. Stanway took the blame for a lot of goals when his defence in front of him went awol. A new Manager, new goalkeeping coach and potential for a big season ahead, I hope Stanway, as with others (ie Harper) can draw a line in the sand over last season and come back stronger.
