We have a squad of 22 now including Barkhuizen and Kouyate how many players do you want, match day squads are 18 so 4 will miss out.

What’s it got to do with how many players I want? The manager said 2 were waiting for the green light from the chairman

The manager has gone on record to say that he wants 22 outfield players so not including goalkeepers in that figure

The two players and the manager will be aware of the situation which may (or may not) be more than is publicly known.

Careful what you wish for.
This squad has been together all preseason and has a great bond.
Bringing a new player in at this late stage could upset the balance.
