Was there a sequence way back in the mists of time where we were undefeated in pre-season then lost the first six games when the season started? Or summat like that - someone will no.

yeah, ya get to a certain age and you realise friendlies mean nothing. Its those first two or three league games-that's when you get a good indication of what train your on.

Impossible to tell at this stage though the signs are at least positive enough that we might avoid last seasons outcome.
I haven’t seen the new squad yet. But i was interested in Evatts comments yesterday regarding the “extreme” physical nature of the tactics. First time I’ve really heard this though any degree of organised physicality would be an improvement on last season’s shambles.
Clough didn’t really use this as a comment or excuse last week. So how true is it. Are we turning into a tribe of Viking marauders?

If we go by what Evatt said we will need all our squad available because of the bookings and sending offs we are going to have this season! Not seen us this season but we sound a lot "harder" shall we say. Was Evatt correct in his observations. Sounds like we'd give Burton a good and brutal game.

On the interview with our manager at the end was he talking about Barkhuzian regarding the make up of the squad &, I think, him training but not involved and it being a difficult situation for both sides at present?

Any reason he couldn`t find his boots yesterday or is he another one not in the Managers plans and looking at shipping out along with Barkhuizen, said 2 players waiting to sign.

Looking at the video, and I know its a Blackpool side of things, we still need to be a bit stronger and more aware at the back. There are teams in the national league that will make us pay for some of the lack of concentration/awareness at the back.

Think if we are physical it's a positive.
It's funny listening to Evatt.
The most successful time was with us.
Ironically Murray looks like Evatt MK2.
If you read the Blackpool Forum they seem unhappy as they conceded against us and Fylde.
We are seeing one star on the wane and another rising.
For me need to win at Hartlepool and set the tone for the season.
We can win this league it's not about anyone else it's about what we do.
What a prize for the anniversary.

Good result and nice interview from the Manager. We look bigger, faster than last season and really looking forward to the season now.
Can easily see only 3 players from last season starting against Hartlepool. Very interesting to see if these 2 players the manager wants will come in esp as he says they "will take us up to the next level"
