So he could have doubled that tally , quite easily. He’s only 23 , brings people into the game well with his hold up play and gets into good goal scoring positions. If he has a full season instead of coming in with less than half the season to go and full preseason with teammates who he is more familiar with , you can make a very reasonable argument that he’d be a 12-15 plus striker at this level. A gamble of course but every signing is .
Agree - still a good young prospect.

Would be happy to see him singed.
Yes, WG, I am sure he has shortcomings that will need ironing out but as he's only 23 we shouldn't press him too hard for fear of burning him out.

(Of course that's if he was singed to begin with . . . )

His dad has just taken over as Dundee manager. Some mischievous Stevenage fans think it would be a good place for Aaron to go and lose himself.

Starting to like the look of our midfield now. Still need at least 2 strikers, GK and a couple of defenders unless Williams is going to be at the back.

All these people bang on about strikers and goals , I’m yet to see anyone actually name anyone who would be a fair and reasonable shout based on level , previous goals and finances

Maybe we need a Sporting Director that might help.

And maybe the one we have knows exactly what we want, but also knows we can't afford it, unlike some of the clubs with whom we are competing to sign this miracle striker!

I couldn't agree more. Without Iain Woods expertise to navigate us along in EFL2 I am convinced we would now be back in the National League. Its not just the signing of players and managing the budget its all the off field stuff to such as the training ground set up that he engineered. Its all contributed to us surviving in league 2.

Kuwaiti-backed MK Dons are set to sign Bolton striker Aaron Collins. Rumoured fee is believed to be bigger than the £850k Bolton paid Bristol Rovers for him and is also believed to be a record fee paid by anyone at this level. We may have got rid of Wrexham and Stockport but there are others waiting in rhe wings (Chesterfield are also throwing about six figure fees). However history shows that our biggest successes have come from a collection of misfits and free transfers gelling as a unit on and off the field under the leadership of an astute coach/manager.

Sure it’s not as simple as an either/or situation but if the chance to sign Pressley came up I’d much rather have him in the squad than Acquah

Acquah is already in the squad for next season when I expect him really come good. Steady progress under Whing and likely more to come when he is playing in a Whing squad and style

Fleetwood sign Sutton United forward Will Davies(18 Goals last Season) for undisclosed fee on 2 year contract, Pete Wild does well signing lads from non-league.

5 goals the season before last. Only 2 or 3 players score 15 plus season on season at this level. Buying a player that has scored 30 goals the season before doesn’t guarantee goals the next season
