I feel a little strange posting things like this after what happened last night but I suppose when these players (or the majority) have [SwearFilter] off, we've still got the club - they only pass through, a few get held in respect for years to come - Cowps, Jonah & the like, the rest we'll forget about as soon as the new season & the fight back starts.

I had an e-mail off Exile today & as we have raised £545 (*see below) he is adding an extra £45 to his total so thanks to Exile we have banked £3,045 not including what we had before & what the scrap has raised & still is raising.

*Money is still coming in, £20 off Jonty being the latest & as far as I can tell £10 off Corner 91 & £50 off Old Barrow Bluebird, thank you. I say as far as I can tell as I dont have visible access to the money still being donated into the account & have to rely on Richard up-dating me.

For those interested there will be another visit to the ground on Sunday morning (don't normally do two on the bounce but I might not get there for a couple of Sundays after that) so if you can give a few hours of your time we'll be needing help starting on the turnstlies, the M A, the away dugout, the first aiders dugout & a few other jobs around & about (obviously depends on weather & numbers)
Posts on here or PM's would help if you can make it, that way we have a rough idea of what we can start.

There'll be a lot of painting over the summer so if you have any brushes or rollers it'd save us buying any & help keep money in the pot.

Also looking for a couple of people who could help out with some bricklaying over the summer, I don't suppose you have to be time served just so long as you know the basics (although time served would help :) ) Couple of smaller jobs & one biggish job for you brickies.
This could be fit in totally around the times when you are available.

I'll be off Uni for a fair wack so I'll have loads of free time to help. I can do painting/ removing/assembling and other general things.

Going to look forward to keeping YOU busy

Thanks for the offer, will it be this weekend or are you on about later in the year?

Exile has e-mailed me & is willing to keep open the £ for £ offer until further notice (or he runs out of money ;) )

I think we've managed to get in an extra £105 (on top of the £500 & his matching £500 plus his original £2,000) at the moment so it's not too late to throw in whatever you can, lets make the most of his really generous offer.

Anything at all will help us & it will ALL go to helping spruce up the ground over the summer, & beyond.

I'm going back this Monday so I'll be busy this Sunday. And a little hungover from Cambridge!

Ive got a few hours spare if you need a hand this sunday with anything Ian.....let me know whats on the agenda if you can.

Got some prices and quotes to discuss also for pop side turnstile material costs from jacksons timber and also the car spot in the bluebird club will happily supply red oxide and wood primer if we need any which sounds good!!!

Is it 9 o'clock Sunday Ian? I've got that box of tools for you and a few hours spare.

My main skill sets are slagging people off on a keyboard whilst hiding behind a made up name.

No I'm good at everything - the family curse.

Finish as much as we can on the pop side turnstiles - painting/cladding the insides, clearing more fences & signs from the stewards cabin area.

Plenty to do Tommy.

Cheers Gary & yes it's nine onwards. Access will be the double gates by the Cross Bar or turnstile "C" or the double gates next to that.

Still looking for a trailer & car or some sort of small van to transport some shelving & small kitchen type unit from by the Strawberry to the ground. Really don't want to let this man down again.
Our leccy will be having another look at the lighting in the M A & there'll be plenty to do for anyone else who can lend a hand for a few hours.

Please remember if anyone else has a donation, Exile is still doing his £ for £. We've had another £110 (I think) donated OVER the £500 - thats put £220 extra in the kitty.

Seven hardy souls down there today -

Peter (our semi-pro litter man) was looking quite upset that there wasn't much litter to pick up so him & Wintergreen shifted a load of the sinage boards from the stewards area to the M A.
They also binned all the broken ones - so that whole area is now looking pretty tidy, still work to do shifting the heavy fencing & storing it in the M A but thats for the better weather & a few more bodies.

MrsSenorita & his daughter took photos of all the projects that have either been completed, ongoing or ready to be started over the summer.

Another body down there today, who wants to remain anon (think he told his missus he was only popping out for a paper) sorted out a few bits in the M A for us.

Myself & Barrowabc picked up some units, shelving & a bit of scrap from Steve Leonards dads house.

Thank you to Wintergreen as, aswell as his time this morning he brought us a box of very useful tools (Tommy P looked like a child on Christmas morning opening the box but he only knows how to use the pencil that was in there....probably use the wrong end of that :) )
Plenty of talk about what we'd like to get started over the summer, so will pop something on here before the next visit.

Thank you also to Bob (don't know his second name) who interupted my century break last night (well it would have been if he hadn't of stopped me, instead it was six) & gave me a tenner for the M A fund & Mo handed his £20 over - another £30 in the pot doubled to £60 by Exile.
