Might be wide of the mark but it could be Aaron 0'Connor.We tried to sign him in Jan but he opted to try his hand in the FL at Stevenage. He has been trialling at Lincoln but they are in the midst of negotiations with a couple of other strikers so he may miss out.The Aaron O'Connor who was at the heart of Newport's rise to the FL would do for me but he appears to have gone off the boil over the last 2-3 years (injury perhaps ?). He does also hail from Nottingham,Cox country.

An interview with Paul Cox was on radio Cumbria around 18:30 tonight, basically said what has been written in the mail report posted earlier regarding the trialists except he distanced himself from Leandro Martis. Mentioned that Andy Coughlin was in pole position to be the second keeper, Belezika was starting to look the part after starting to lose some of his excess baggage. Mellor still some way off where he wants him to be. Emile Sinclair and Euan Murray are the two he seemed keenest on, will post a link when it becomes available.

Go back through this thread and see how many pointless posts there are - you'd reduce it by half. Amazing that we had to suffer months and months of vile, obnoxious, infantile 'discussion' and abuse yet about 5 harmless posts get deleted. Hmm.
It all comes 'round again.

Hmmm. Weight/fitness wise? Or distance to another club?

We need a big burly target man who does the ugly stuff & bulles the defence while he knocks the ball down for the other lads to burst the back of the net while bagging a few himself, is there any out there?

One player should sign today (Saturday). Secretary on holiday so not sure when will be formalised. Second signing will follow shortly.

Edit: It wont be Sinclair.

One will be Euan Murray, I reckon - looks like he can fill a few positions, and seems to have done okay in the friendlies

Well said Nigel. This blog is overrun with petulant youths. As soon as we exchange some light hearted wit the webmaster drags our comments to the recycle bin.
