Bit gutted really as liked Dawson, don't see that he needed a trail as we Baylis knew what he was about
And surely Dawson would be fit anyway as couldn't see him becoming a fat and keeping fit
I would be peeved as well as its an insult to be fair,

Just hope it don't come back to bite our arse that's my worry :DD:

Maybe Bayliss saw something in training that would indicate a lack of fitness levels or picked up on something (injury wise) that required a bit of caution.

He wasn't fit when he came to us
There is also a difference between physical fitness and match fitness.
It's no good signing a player and using up a wage if the player is blowing out of his arse after 30 mins, Bayliss has done the right thing, if Dawson isn't prepared to show his worth and earn a contract it says a lot more about his attitude than his ability

Training ? Running, circuits, he has his own football school so scope there as well,
If he looks after himself and is a fit fella anyway then it won't be hard IMO

I know most fitness heads get really down when there not fit (been there)
But it's never as hard getting back there as you know what you need to do,
It's far from easy but comes across as type who takes good care of himself.
It's easier to get match fit than to sort out his dodgy knee. I think that'd be the problem.

I seem to remember Harvey coming back pre-season last year and it didn't seem to bother him.
That's the situation and Dawson either takes up the offer or he doesn't. The balls in his court.

im not bothered if james owen goes, he can tackle but thats about it, wins the tackle then cant pass it 5 yards. loses the ball more than he wins the ball. doesnt score goals either , i think i did see him score at cambridge once though.

Think that's a fair point as Harvey was outstanding pre season as a trialest and stood out massively to me
Hence he got a contract and was one of our better players, understand Dawson seeing his arse but
He's nowt to lose and could become a fans fave ! Yet as Elaine says balls in his court,
Would like to think he'll do it as I want him back as liked his style of play
And for me I still don't think we seen best of him and I think he'll admit that ;)
Prove it to us Dawson and yourself ;)

I'm guessing Harvey was offered the contract but listed and played as a trailist because of the embargo.

Correct and also while he was a triallist he was still being paid by burnley so we were saving a wage

Always give it your all one of our best players last two year thanks ;)
Very poor last season (like a lot of others) and one I would not have expected to be retained if we had stopped up.
wish he hadnt been suspended for the Nuneaton away game and taken the penalty instead of Boyes who argued with Jackson to take it - Baker would have scored and I think Jackson would have but Boyes wanted it and missed

All Boyes wanted that day was his goal bonus that's why he wouldn't let go of the ball I bet ;)

Baker has signed for Tamworth.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Tamworth have signed experienced midfielder Richie Baker following his end-of-season departure from relegated Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Barrow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22658448 :scarf:

For him, another year of being involved in a relegation scrap perhaps? ;)
