A good victory. Let's hope the team can kick-off their season now!

Was there really only 812 there?!

Happy Days. Fancy doing Chester too.

Now start winning in this league.

Well done lads!! Never known us to win down there- great for the fans who went down.

Would be great if we can take a few hundred to Chester and get right behind them. They deserve it- they are giving it their all! so come on get back on board and get down to this game if you can.

So there I was in front of the fire wondering whether to watch England or travel the 10 miles or so to Stockort to cheer on the lads. Right decision made although I am just about thawing out now! Mind you after 10 mins I was questioning my sanity when County went one up from a free kicK and our defence was all over the place. However, two goals in as many minutes changed all that - although I didn't see it coming. O'Donnell's near post flick showed County's defence was as bad as ours but Rushtons great chip from the edge of the box showed real composure. With Alex Ray & Sheridan dominating midfield we saw out the rest of the half in relative comfort.

Felt we stayed too far back in second half and County were getting too close for my liking. However, we all felt we had the ability to score again & Rushton duly obliged on a break away rounding the hesitant goalie and putting it in from a tight angle. Another well taken goal. Their late goal was due to our hesitant defence again and I was praying for the final whistle as the prospect of another 30 mins of extra time plus penalties if freezing temperatures was not an appealing thought. But with little or no further scares we did it & it made my night. Still need to sort the middle of our defence out as they were a cause for concern all night but the boys worked hard and deserved it. Onwards to Chester

I made the right decision - Barrow are better than England!

Think I stand to be corrected on our second goal I think Carver scored it - whoever it was it was a damn good goal!
