I think the team answered the critics and showed they're up for it. No a classic performance but we got the job done.

BVDB showed glimpses today but still not enough to warrant a starting place. Think pilks will be straight back in. Either that or give Newby a go.

Well done PC for getting on the plane, rippling a few ponds and setting off a few fireworks around the club. Result? A performance incomparably better than any other home showing this season. Today we looked like a proper fully committed professional outfit. There wasn't a single player player wearing socks at the end. For the first time it looked like we do have a player in Mellor after all. My only slight reservation was taking him off with 5 minutes to go after he had looked a bit of a rock in the middle. Lacey also deserves credit as he played several clever and decent passes, something that some seem to think he's not capable of doing. No complaints, this was fantastic, a real united spirited performance against very strong opposition. Well done to every last one of them. Now do it like that more often.

A great 3 points against a previously unbeaten Eastleigh side.A great performance and we actually made them look pretty ordinary.Some nervous moments towards the end but we deserved to win this game.If we can now consolidate and string a few results together confidence will grow.Bring on Braintree...........after Blackburn U21.

Good win

Huge pats on the back all round because that was a huge response to a very trying week. The players looked together and played like they had a point to prove. The tactics were right and made an expensively assembled title challenging team look very ordinary and I think Barrow were well worth the win. I do believe when the will is there we do have some good footballers knocking around the squad, they just need to show it on a more regular basis! We're starting to develop a good home record and whatever our aims this season that is a must. Hopefully that is the confidence booster we've been looking for because that was the best performance I've this season by a mile. Im a happy bluebird tonight, more of the same in the coming weeks please lads!

Mellor was taken because he was limpng,took a few late challenges which went unpunished, by a very lenient referee,thought mellor was man of the match,but everyone put a shift in!,passion commmittment 100% better than the 3 previous home games we have to kick on now.

We saw a performance today that I hope is closer to what this Barrow side can go on and produce weekly. All if's but's and maybes, but had we also took the three points at Halifax we'd be 9th and only three points outside the top 5!

Great result. From minute 1 we looked the better side. Jase was again fantastic....looking a far better & fitter player from last season.
Grandy & Danny worked well together and were pretty solid throughout.
Dixon getting better by the game.
Williams looks the part & we need (if possible) to get him for the season.
Mellor looked good, best game so far.
Cooky looked [SwearFilter] by the end of the game. but put in his usual shift.
Liked the way the ref took his time over the penalty decision rather than rush it one way or the other like most do at all levels.
Paddy did well after that early challenge that looked like it was there to provoke him.

All in all, a great improvement....that's the team I thought we had early on - not World beaters but able to compete with some of the better teams in this league.

Much, much better. Not so much the play but the attitude. Never let them settle on the ball for much of the game. A bit worried we looked very tired at the end again though. Another significant point, the crowd got on Eastleigh's back right from the first minute. They spent the whole game whining at the officials rather than focusing on the game. Maybe that's their achiles ?
